Eat 3 meals a day(breakfast, lunch, dinner) but if u want to loose some lbs eat 5-6 small meals a day.

Not sticking to a timetable can be bad if you're looking to lose weight as it can slow down your metabolism. Also, eating more towards the end of the day, say having your 'lunch' at 2, 'dinner' at 7 and then 'breakfast' at 3am and then sleeping may lead to a greater amount being stored. If you want to gain weight or maintain, it's alright I guess. I don't stick to timetables.

I read somewhere that it doesn't matter what time you eat,but how much you eat in a day!

I'm not trying to lose weight ... I'm just eating right and training as much as i can.
Just wondering if when i eat matters? As long as i eat the right stuff?

it does matter
for example your carb tolerance is highest within 3 hours post workout so you would want to get most of your carbs in at those times.
if you havent worked out, you dont want to dump a bunch of carbs in your system before you sleep.
your metabolism is naturally higher in the morning when you wake and lower at night before bed.
things like that to keep in mind

For the most part, I don't think it makes a big deal.
However, I wouldn't recommend eating before bedtime, as your digestive system will be processing the food as you're sleeping (which isn't good). Other than that, if you're eating healthy, I don't really think it matters all that much.

azza, just eat good food, don't drink much alcohol and get sleep. If you don't have energy or you start putting on weight then maybe look back at it, but what you're doing is obviously working.

I heard on Radio 5 live that British Dietician Association said a calorie consumed is just a calorie, whenever it has been eaten. I think it is right and as long as you don't stuff yourself at mealtimes and don't have one just before you wank off to sleep, then it is OK. If you eat a reasonably balnaced diet of mainly natural foods and train hard, you'll be OK. Bums eat fried food.
