Theyre whingeing now that we're beating em in the medal table and letting em know about it!
They can dish it out but cant take it when the tables are turned. Sore losers!
I'm gonna make it an obligation to wind up every Aussie I speak to about our success over them! Theres tonnes where I live so theres gonna be alot of pissed off Aussies in South London,
The Monk 08-20-2008, 10:03 AM I find it amusing how the Australian sports minister called us Brits "serial chokers". Umm...those chokers are now comfortably ahead of you in the medal table you convict.
I don't care where we finish in the medal table as long as we are above those muppets.
BETTY SWOLLOCKS 08-20-2008, 10:13 AM Their favourite sport Rugby. 3 of the 4 times we've played them in the World Cup, we beat em. We have to look for the Boks for some competition.
They can beat us as many times as they want in friendlies cos they dont mean ****. We always win when it really matters:D If you ask me, theyre the chokers.

Rugby Union isn't their favourite sport.

We dont do too bad in the medal tally considering we only have a population of around 23 million people, compared to the population's of the USA, china and the UK... imagine if we had 300 million like the US!

Rugby isnt our favorite sport, infact here in Melbourne, rugby isnt even talked about, AFL (aussie rules footy) is our number one sport. 1 - AFL, 2 - Cricket (and ya know who ya daddy is when it comes to cricket, poms) 3 - Rugby.

All we care about is track cycling, it's the national sport.

For the first part. I'm not denying Aussie's are a very good sporting nation, and you like to let us know that when you beat us. We just find it funny how all the stats and excuses come out as soon as we beat you. You can dish it out but cant take it :D
You know why cricket and rugby friendlies are called test matches? They're a test of our colonial cousins manners and sportsmanship. Once again we get full marks in that respect!
For the second part, theres no comparison with AFL, cos only you guys play it. With cricket I accept you're better than us. Though even with the population difference i would say more people play cricket in Australia than Britain. Really, not many people play it here. i only knew about 4 guys at school that played in any sort of team.
Which brings us back to Egg chasing:D Johnny Wilkinsons drop goal, Sheridans decimation of the Aussie forwards.
*wipes a tear's from my eyes with Rule Britannia playing in the background*

And yet the second Welsh Grand Slam in the past 4 years gets swept under the table like it was nothing.
You English are exactly the same...you can dish it out but you don't like taking it in return.
Spambo boy 08-20-2008, 03:44 PM We need the cycling team to run the selection in the cricket. Then we might have a decent chance of beating the crims on a regular basis.

I wasn't on about beating Australia (although giving the Crim's a good pasting is more enjoyable than I thought it would be).
I was on about that typical English attitude where anything they do is amazing, but anyone who equals them is still ****.
Good to hear about your dad, too, glad there's SOME good in you after all :luvbed:
