Ok, it's my birthday on the 9th November, and I'm gonna get on a plane and fly somewhere cheap and cheerful to celebrate with a few mates. I want to be away for when Calzaghe fights Jones on the 8th, and want some ideas of where I could go, and where will I find somewhere that will definately be showing the fight.
Answers on a postcard please me hearties. :)
I'm going to Amsterdam on my 21st.

I've heard Sheffield is cheap and cheerful.
Seriously though Spain is a good bet, lots of sports bars, sun, birds and not too expensive.

yeah, I was thinking Spain, but how can I be assured that where I'm going I'll be able to catch the fight....?
Even the sports bars in Puerto Banus close at 3ish, AND it's off season as well.

MickyHatton 08-19-2008, 12:24 PM Benidorm is Blackpool in the sun and will definately show it in many bars there!
mickeyb 08-19-2008, 05:06 PM Don't go to Malia mate its a ****ing dump.
I went to Amsterdam and it was a great laugh.. i've been to Prague too and that's a cool city to get drunk in. Erm.. I hear Dublin can be very expensive. I go with MickyHatts.. Benidorm. Cheap, cheerful, unpretencious.... failing that, Majorca?
The Iron Man 08-19-2008, 05:15 PM i went Malia this year, thought it was quality.
The Monk 08-19-2008, 05:32 PM I would definately recommend Prague. It is cheap and the czech girls are great. I had a amazing few days there.
This thread is also useful for myself as i'm turing 21 end of October and going away for a few nights with a few mates. I wanna go somewhere in Europe other than Prague or Amsterdam as i've done both these before. Has anyone been to Riga, Talinn or Kracow and if so, would you recommend any of them?

Me too pal, i had a great laugh - best week of my life. But, the place? A ****ing dump!
Getting ripped off all the time and ****ing dangerous. Who let all them monkeys drive mopeds up and down the street. My mate broke his arm on a stolen moped at 4am after joyriding! We all had glass on our feet and we kept fighting with the security in the hotels who wouldn't let us into girls rooms! My pal needed a plaster on his foot, went to a medical centre cos he stood on a broken bottle... the plaster cost £150. So we did a runner and then apparently they were looking for us at the hotel but the owner said we'd left the country - he then told us that we might be in the mafias bad books. Lololol.
Besides the point.. if i get hassled into another ****ing bar/restaurant/kebab house by greek for the rest of my life i'll go on a ****ing killing spree.
