View Full Version : Oscar vs Shane *spoiler*
ArjukanpoKarate 09-14-2003, 01:44 AM Oscar lost to Shane
OH DEAR GOD. This fight was called wrong.
Oscar was leading in punching and round points by Harry Letterman's count which is not often wrong. Shane head butted him in the 3rd round and left a cut that didn't seem to bother Oscar any. I think Oscar was definitely winning that fight. I saw him take control and keep it during the fight. Shane did hit him in the fight with at least 3 good hooks but it was not enough to stop Oscar. Shane in the end looked very surprised that he won. Gorge Forman even thinks that something fishey was going on to have Shane win 115 to 113 all three judges said the exact same thing scored the exact same rounds.
Anyway it was an awesome fight with a disappointing ending.
Fallout 09-14-2003, 02:54 AM Oscar won that fight. Plain and simple
I missed the fight because i was over my gf's house but my friend which is a huge mosley fancalled me after the fight and told me mosley won but he was shocked because he thought Oscar won it easily also. Well i will have the tape tomorrow to see for myself. I am a DLH fan all the way.
Fury Dragon 09-14-2003, 11:47 AM I have to see this fight somehow...

realkaps 09-14-2003, 11:51 PM **** Oscar......
ArjukanpoKarate 09-15-2003, 12:26 AM All you ppl who said F**K Oscar are just wrong. I like Shane as a fighter as well, but I'm with the Golden Boy all the way, and he won that fight hands down. Even my Senseis were shaking there heads at that one. I'm sorry but I really believe that the judges were bought by someone. I call it how I see it, and if I thought Oscar lost that fight, I would be the first to say so.
astroboy 09-15-2003, 12:29 AM time will tell... as soon as oscar even watches the tape he will object and it will goto a tribunal
realkaps 09-15-2003, 12:30 AM He probably did win, I didnt watch, I was just saying **** Oscar because I dont like the guy......
ArjukanpoKarate 09-15-2003, 02:52 AM Well ok then, that's ok then, um yeah. That's all you had to say.
Mosely! Mosely! Mosely! Mosely! Mosely! Mosely! Mosely! Mosely!
Mr. Beelzebub 09-15-2003, 10:41 AM De La Hoya lost because ran away from Mosley the last three rounds just like he did against Tito Trinidad.

whos tito trinidad???
Bluecifer 09-15-2003, 01:17 PM I think Oscar won against Trinidad. He stayed away those last 3 rounds coz he dominated all the other ones and knew that on paper he should have taken the decision. Didn't see the Mosely fight though.
astroboy 09-15-2003, 01:18 PM tito trinidad AAHHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHAAAA
whos that??
Oscar won....Harold Letterman is never wrong......Mosley was way too inactive through the whole fight.
ArjukanpoKarate 09-15-2003, 05:49 PM You have it right there Nuno.
Don't even start me on that trinidad fight. :cuss:
Kempo Chris 09-15-2003, 06:17 PM didnt anyone listen to foreman after the fight
mmafanman 09-15-2003, 06:43 PM Oscar won that fight. The judges got it wrong.
Oscar basically outboxed Mosley for a majority of the fight. He landed first and had Mosley confused the whole night. Mosley could not get past De La Hoya's jab, and he could not get inside effectively. All he could do was follow Oscar around and try and land his right hand. Mosley was able to rally in the championship rounds, and even was able to hurt De La Hoya. But winning those final rounds wasn't enough to compensate for all the rounds he lost earlier in the fight.
Simply put: Mosley WAS NOT active enough to merit the victory, and the punch count (which was in favor of De La Hoya) told the whole story.

Yeah...the argument he had with Larry was the best moment of the whole night. He basically said that there was some conspiracy to make De La Hoya lose. Larry said there was no conspiracy at all, and said that the judges simply saw a different fight. Then George got mad and started getting personal, saying that Larry doesn't know shit because he's never been in the ring, and then Larry got really pissed and offended and said something like, "I'm not a former heavyweight champ like you, George, but I do know boxing."
It was really, really awkward moment and I thought Larry was going to snap. You could see it in his eyes. He was ****ing pissed. It's understandable. Big George basically said that Larry doesn't know shit—on live TV....it was very unprofessional on Foreman's part.
Fallout 09-15-2003, 10:22 PM Larry, is that the old guy that talks too slow?
DragonZero 09-16-2003, 03:41 AM foreman always acts like an ass they should get someone else to commentate

Wow, that guy was a horrible boxer. Please do not say those two are lame and then mention hamed. he was a joke and that was about it. I was screaming when Barrera whooped his ass the whole fight.

I found that really cool to watch lol. I do think George was out of line a little bit, but I do think he touched on something that no one wanted to talk about on live TV...
George isn't the most intelligent person. He'll contradict (sp) himself throughout every event usually.
