View Full Version : Kerry is looking more like our new president...
spinksjinx 11-02-2004, 08:59 PM As each second grows shorter and shorter, Kerry is climbing and no republican president has ever won without winning Ohio and Ohio is leaning towards kerry, it is now 77/102 for Bush. Although if Kerry swoops down and takes california/ohio/New York/Pennsylvania in likelihood he will snag those states, we could have our new president before midnight.....
I know some people here are going to be bitter.
spinksjinx 11-02-2004, 09:01 PM For an update, Bush is in the lead into ohio only by 1 percent.
It keep flip flopping in Ohio back and forth it is a tough call....Man this is good....
To further update kerry is leading pennsylvania by more then 50%
Kerry Just nabbed New York, Bush Texas.
112/156 Bush

....193/112 in favor of Bush at 10:13 P.M. eastern
.....If Florida and Ohio hold form it's 240 for Bush within the next half hour. That would leave him 30 short. We shall see soon.
spinksjinx 11-02-2004, 10:32 PM Man it is getting close, Im saying it is a pretty good lock for kerry to take pa/california, everything is to close for comfort and Kerry still has a large chance to steal Ohio....However their is still a long way to go and about 40% of votes have been submitted....
Bush is picking up the little states and Kerry is carrying the bigger states..
*shakes head in madness*
phallus 11-02-2004, 10:34 PM It all comes down to Florida, wink, wink... I can see Bush on the phone with his bro now, " Don't worry, Dubya, i'll take care of this..."

.....IMO Kerry is in deep **** right now and I'm real surprised versus the exit polls. We shall see.
The Fix 11-02-2004, 10:54 PM i kinda dissapointed right now i thought kerry would be doing better by now but the night is young
spinksjinx 11-02-2004, 11:48 PM .....IMO Kerry is in deep **** right now and I'm real surprised versus the exit polls. We shall see.
I am blown away, I thought kerry stole more voters then the outcome. I guess when people went to the polls they changed their mind....
Im satisfied either way, but I was pulling for Kerry...But no complaints.....
Kerry has probably finished about 12 bottles of jack daniels w/ that dark beer he was having earlier.....
Explosivo 11-02-2004, 11:50 PM It looks like Bush is winning Florida handidly and has a decent lead in Ohio. Lets see what happens in Colorado and New Mexico. It looks like Kerry has the lead in the great lake states.
Sweet Dick Willy 11-02-2004, 11:53 PM .....IMO Kerry is in deep **** right now and I'm real surprised versus the exit polls. We shall see.
Kerry took Pennsylvania. 207-199 for Bush in electoral votes. If Kerry doesn't win Florida, he has to win NH, Minn, Iowa to make up for it. Of course, if he wins Ohio. He's home free
spinksjinx 11-03-2004, 12:03 AM Kerry took Pennsylvania. 207-199 for Bush in electoral votes. If Kerry doesn't win Florida, he has to win NH, Minn, Iowa to make up for it. Of course, if he wins Ohio. He's home free
237-199, Bush just took Florida, Ohio is up for the taking and Bush could still snag Nevada away, of course some states only have about 50% of votes in and it could sway back and forth all night....It is to close.

LMFAO HAHAHAHAHAHA
GOP 4 LIFE BABY
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 01:18 AM Bush takes Florida and OHIO and I live In Cleveland. The Only bitter ppl are all these liberal ******s and missled *******s here in Cuyaohoga County. George Bush has won!
PERIOD
vB Martin 11-03-2004, 01:26 AM Here's to praying I'm wrong about the piece of **** ****ing the country even harder. At leasy if I'm not, I can marry my girlfriend and get the **** outta here.
Congratulations, America, it seems you're proving to the world that you're as stupid as they thought.
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 01:57 AM Now it's 269 Bush, 211 Kerry. Ohio could still reverse and go to Kerry, we may not know who the President is for quite awhile. Bush is extremely close to winning.
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 01:59 AM Sorry that's 207 Kerry, I'm watching it on a tiny little Black and White TV. Kerry has to sweep the rest of the country...
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 02:01 AM Those figures are from NBC. Just turned on the radio and Dan Rather says it's 249-217 for Bush.
abdiel2k3 11-03-2004, 02:02 AM Those figures are from NBC. Just turned on the radio and Dan Rather says it's 249-217 for Bush.
i see 249-221
on yahoo
vB Martin 11-03-2004, 02:03 AM according to CNN it's 249/211 with 58 still in play and Ohio's 2 too close to call. There are reportedly over 200k absentee ballots in Miani-Dade still to be counted, but probably not enough to effect that state. we can pray, though.
Once the counting is completed in Ohio it's over, and we will probably continue to be the pariah of the world
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 02:10 AM Ohio is the critical state. CBS radio now says it's 249-221 Bush. NBC still 269-207 Bush. This is actually pretty fun to listen to all this stuff.
I notice Martin says we're the Pariah of the world, what do you mean by that exactly?
vB Martin 11-03-2004, 02:23 AM I know the general cowboy attitude is "We're America, we don't need the rest of the world", but we've really pissed them off. They honestly don't understand how we let stupid issues like religion and gay marriage interfere in our politics and call ourselves a free society. They honestly dislike and distrust Bush. By re-electing him we will further alienate the world.
I know you say this is speculation, but a large part of my family is still in Europe, and I talk to them all the time.
I own and run one of the largest message boards on the net (20k+ members, 3+ million posts) and I have a fairly international audience. They all say the same thing.
Why does this matter?
Well, the EEU is getting a lot closer to getting their **** together. They will soon be allied much like the US and will definitely be an economic rival in world markets. With the US taking the hardline cowboy approach, and Europe remaining moderate, they will start to eat at our market share. They're already doing so in the far east, which is the biggest opening market in the world.
As I have said before, if I'm right, I have the option to marry my girlfriend and go back to Ireland. No harm no foul for me. Believe me, I love this country and really don't want to do that. I guess I better start praying and hope I'm wrong.
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 02:39 AM Well Ireland pro american any way. But hey yer just sore cause Kerry is gettin his ass handed to him.
GOP 4 LIFE
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 02:39 AM I kind of think that whenever a country starts to think of itself as the best in the world, it also starts to alienate itself. We automatically assume our country is right and everyone else is wrong, I think that's too bad.
Also I have heard that 100,000 Iraqi citizens have been killed in the war. Those people aren't even in the country that attacked on 9/11. We basically murdered 30 times as many people as died on 9/11. That's terrorism.

**** em
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 02:42 AM Lets goto Chat room fellas?
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 02:42 AM By the way, CBS just said it's now 249-242 for Bush.
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 02:44 AM All the other networks have Bush 269.
Neuraxis 11-03-2004, 02:45 AM FOUR MORE YEARS.
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 02:45 AM Plus there aout to call IA and NM for Bush
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 02:46 AM Popular Vote 88% of Precincts Reporting (AP)
George W. Bush 51% 53,580,445
John Kerry 48% 49,898,83
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 02:46 AM LOL, man, I don't even really care who wins. I'm 19, and I have to admit I have no idea who is better.
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 02:47 AM Thats ok yer still young. At least you voted right?
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 02:49 AM No I didn't vote. I have to admit I don't know who's better, what's the point of voting?
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 02:57 AM Well I could have felt that way also, cause I live in Cleveland and am a Republican so why vote? But we went out today and won OH for Bush and thus the presidency. By the way that ***** who called all americans dumb because we relect Bush. Man I have more education in my ass then his ugly fukin head. :p
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 02:57 AM By the way did that guy ever lose on Jeopardy or is he still omn it?
vB Martin 11-03-2004, 02:58 AM No I didn't vote. I have to admit I don't know who's better, what's the point of voting?
If you don't vote, you give up your right to *****. That's the most sacred form of Free Speech.
vB Martin 11-03-2004, 03:01 AM By the way that ***** who called all americans dumb because we relect Bush. Man I have more education in my ass then his ugly fukin head. :p
I have seen no reason to believe you even have an education beyond High School.
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 03:01 AM If you don't vote, you give up your right to *****. That's the most sacred form of Free Speech.
well at least we can agree on that. But he young and naive, he'll wise up in his twenties, well, hopefully!
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 03:02 AM Eyeh8You- As of Monday, he was still on, he is the man. He is my hero.
vbMartin - I have to completely disagree. Free speech means I can say anything I want. And it's not like my vote would have changed the outcome. And there's no way of knowing who is better, so I would have just voted for the sake of voting, I think that's throwing away your vote. Just my opinion...
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 03:03 AM I have seen no reason to believe you even have an education beyond High School.
BS in Biology
MS in Biology
PhD candident in Genetics
you?
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 03:07 AM Ever thought of challenging Ken Jennings? LOL
That's a pretty impressive resume.
vB Martin 11-03-2004, 03:07 AM BS in Electrical Engineering from U Chicago
BS in Elementary Education from Henderson
Never worked, either, though. They bored me. Currently I work for Jelsoft on the very program we're using and do database design of my own, as well as work part time for a financial planning company.
I don't understand how someone holding advanced degrees can speak the way you do, though.
I also don't understand how someone with an advanced degree, especially in a science, can vote for a man who throws science out the window in favor of "God".
I guess that's one of life's perplexing little wonders, isn't it?
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 03:09 AM Thanx, hell knoe that geek is supersmart. I know nothing about ballet, opera, or playwrites. He knows everything. ;)
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 03:11 AM Martin, if those subjects bore you, why did you keep going for the degree?
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 03:11 AM Well cause you don't know the facts. Man I use ES cells all the time to make KO mutations in mice genes. Man ES research is thriving here (Case Western Reserve Univ). You just a brainwashed liberal who beleives everything the NewYork post spews.
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 03:15 AM By the fukin way whats wrong with putting GOD first. MAN you just an atheist liberal idiot. Goto Ireland then if you love it so much and pay 350,000 euros for a ****ty ass one flat in Limrick or Shannon. Man this is the best country hands down, but I goto Ireland alot and they are cool as hell to me and always respectful about our country so I won't talk too much **** about em.
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 03:19 AM Wasn't one of the debates at Case Western?
Also, I sometimes wonder if people on these boards are really what they say.
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 03:22 AM Yes it was. But It was Edwars and Cheney.
Ask me any Biology question you want!
vB Martin 11-03-2004, 03:25 AM Teaching didn't bore me as much as engineering, but at the time I got my degree the McMartin scandal broke in California and any man wanting to go into elementary education was looked at wiyh a jaundice eye, regardless of the fact that they were all found innocent and the shrink who interviewed the children was stripped of her creds for the way she led the children into saying what she wanted them to.
As for the engineering degree, I completed it in 3 years, and didn't really get bored with it so much as realize that I would be bored doing it as a career. I've always been a traveller, and I believe that what you learn through experience is more useful than what you learn through formalized, teach-to-the-test education.
I decided to go to work in the oilfield and stayed there as a project manager from 1988 till 2000 so I would have time to pursue other interests and travel.
In 2000 I hooked up with a group of people pissed off at a certain competitive product that we were all using, so we got together and wrote our own. It's the perfect job for me because I can do it from anywhere as long as I bring my laptop and it pays damned well. Plus I can sit naked in front of my TV and do it;)
So, what area of genetics are you planning on playing around in?
vB Martin 11-03-2004, 03:27 AM Well cause you don't know the facts. Man I use ES cells all the time to make KO mutations in mice genes. Man ES research is thriving here (Case Western Reserve Univ). You just a brainwashed liberal who beleives everything the NewYork post spews.
Actually, I would have voted Repugnican if McCain were running. He's not a religious freak who thinks God talks to him. Kerry was the lesser of 2 evils. I guess I better hope I was wrong about that, though.
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 03:28 AM Why don't you ask me a question. Something simple.
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 03:30 AM mammalian genetics (mainly mouse gentics). But I also do alot of biochem as part of my aims. We work on Spinal muscular atrophy in our lab with particular attention to the cellular phenotype in the motor neurons. But im gonna go straight into industry just Like i did when i first graduated undergraduate. Work for a year in an agricultural pharmasutical Co. ( Alpharma)
vB Martin 11-03-2004, 03:30 AM PS: You mean the New York Times. The Post is a Right Wing rag.
So, you're involved in stem cell research? What do you think of Bush's all-but ban on new lines?
Personally, I was looking forward to new lines being opened since I'm diabetic and a good candidate for systemic lupus. Thanks dad, for both of them.
I've heard that adult stem cells are as good as embyonic for medical applications. Can you explain why that is?
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 03:31 AM Why don't you ask me a question. Something simple.
in biology? or in Boxing?
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 03:31 AM Repugnican! Nice play on words, kind of like when I said the Klitschko's where highly overrated heavywhites, I mean Heavyweights.
vB Martin 11-03-2004, 03:33 AM you mean "pharmaceutical"?

Dude private funding supplies tons of money for ES research. You have to relize alot of conservitive christians oppose it. Hey im republican but don't agree w/ every single opinion of the party. But don't worry ES research thriving quite well.
oh yhea NewYork times my fault
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 03:34 AM you mean "pharmaceutical"?
dude us scientist are all horrible spellers. Just like Medical doctors. You a edu major so I understand you trying to correct my english
vB Martin 11-03-2004, 03:37 AM <--- spelling nazi
vB Martin 11-03-2004, 03:39 AM I just realized we have to stop this. I think 2 people with divergent viewpoints holding an intelligent and civil conversation is both unheard of and a banning offense here.
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 03:40 AM <--- spelling nazi
you'll win on that for sure.
But Adult stems cells are only pleuripotent (can have many, but not all different cell fates), while Embryonic stem cells are totipotent (All cell fates). ES cells vastly better for medical applications ;)
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 03:41 AM I just realized we have to stop this. I think 2 people with divergent viewpoints holding an intelligent and civil conversation is both unheard of and a banning offense here.
LMAO!!!!!!!
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 03:43 AM The Bush campaign is saying they won. Kerry campaign says they need to count everything first.
I guess I shouldn't have thought that we'd get a conclusive evening. It could be a couple days, weeks even.

Dude Kerry Will concede sometime today. He lost OH by nearly 150K
can't even get a recount by OH law unless margin is 0.25% Bush won by 2%. It's just Democratic retoric. Kerry will conccede!
techn9ne 11-03-2004, 03:47 AM I know the general cowboy attitude is "We're America, we don't need the rest of the world", but we've really pissed them off. TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 04:08 AM Are you sure?
John Kerry promised that if Bush got re-elected, the world would explode into war, the economy would crash, no one would have a job, a cosmic rays would scorch the planet killing everything.
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 04:09 AM Then again, if Kerry had won, Chris Reeves would come back from the dead and walk again, and the world would become a heavenlike Utopia, and we'd never have to pay taxes again.
Eyeh8you 11-03-2004, 04:12 AM Wow ididnt thimk i could lose any more respect for a democrate. But if the contest a 150K vote margin then I'll just laugh in the face of the next peron who tells me he/or she is a Dem :D

pretty sure that's sarcasm - though with that dude you can never tell
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 04:18 AM It doesn't look like Kerry will concede anytime soon. He's got about 10,000 lawyers to slow down the process of him getting his ass kicked.
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 04:20 AM Mark my words... If John Kerry becomes President, Chris Reeve will walk again, after being resurrected by John Edwards.
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 04:39 AM I wonder who Ken Jennings voted for...

No I didn't vote. I have to admit I don't know who's better, what's the point of voting?
...You did the right thing by not voting. If your uniformed or apathatic why cast a vote. Rock the vote is a frickin joke by the way. I don't want some kid that has no clue voting for our President. If you have no idea what your doing then stay home.
...I will take that a a concesion speach, and wish you luck in Japan.
...er uh Ireland that is.
spinksjinx 11-03-2004, 08:11 AM Just another update and question.
A lot of the countries who opposed us are now coming around and accepting of bush and the u.s. despite their feelings toward war and a good bit more of countries seem to want to help us now put stability in Iraq.
Basically it seems countries are like "Well we got Bush for 4 more years, might as well make the best of it" type of deal....
Question
Does anyone think all of the bad oil prices and horrible economy was a way to make bush look bad in hopes of not winning and since more countries are seemingly wanting to cooperate more, we could see a drop in a lot of things and some light my shed onto us????????
DR. FREECLOUD 11-03-2004, 10:57 AM not only has bush won but he has the widest margin in the popular vote than any other president has ever had.
Well, I watched the election on CNN Worldwide and I'm pretty dissapointent. What else has a president to do not to get reelected? At least it's pretty clear now that 51 percent of Americans give a **** about other countries, the worlds enviroment and the social standards of their own nation. Bush might be a solid leader but he's leading you in the worst direction.
And spinksjinx: these statements mean nothing. It's just "political correct" to congratulate the winner of the elections. A lot of countries hoped for a change, it didnt happen and so now they have to adjust to the situation and hope again in four years. If it isnt to late then. You got what you deserved. :)
TysonForeman 11-03-2004, 06:57 PM Your right, that's exactly why I didn't vote. Giving your opinion on something you know nothing about is stupid.
