Canadians died too. I just don't see how it's fair to be sad about one attack and not care about attacks happened in other places and times.

then it may be more appropriate to pay respects to those lost in 9-11 as well as those lost in other tradgeties rather then to bash on it.

I'm not bashing. I never said anything bad about it. I just refuse to act like I care because people say I should.

well if your not gonna add anything positive to the thread get the **** outta the thread and post somewhere else. Just cause it doesnt directly involve you doesnt mean you can go be a cunt about it or say you dont care... cause you know what we dont care that you dont care.

What that makes no sense at all. Just because I'm not on everybody's side I have no right to express what I have to say. That's just wrong.

No I don't think anybody should dye becuase of war or anything like that. It's just wrong to name this has a holly day for america when you lived a life of comfort. If anybody should have a special day it's the countries that have kids dieing becuase they can't eat.

if you cant even feel for the people around you then how the **** can you feel for the people everywhere else...

i feel for everyone who has to deal with that sort of loss.... its a horrible thing to deal with, obviously youve never dealt with anything in your life. Either that or you dont care to

you sound like the kind of person who would deem sending money to a third world country a good cause, but then snub the hungry beggar on your street.

It's all the same, ****er. I dont care if you were spoon fed from birth, if you die because of war, it's tragic. What you just said is it isn't that big of a loss that these people died because Americans live so comfortably. **** off and die.

No one said that this was a holy day. It is a day of remembrance for those who were mass murdered and a day of honor for those who risked their lives to save those still in the buildings. It was the most vicious attack on U.S. soil since Pearl Harbor. Remembering keeps us grateful for our freedom and thankful to those who keep that freedom for us. Freedom is not free. History has proven that.

Yes but one good thing that can out of sept 11. is that people felt the need for change. The problem is your governement everytime I see them talk say that we must stop the people who would perform terriost acts on american soil. It's a world problem that affects everybody. Holding a american flag is not fighting terriost. Coming together to stop car bombings and war loards around the world is the way to go about it.

DragonZero

i think everyone needs to realize that it will never be stopped completely there will always be stupid ****s that feel they need to do something like that to get their point across or for some stupid religous belief or some**** i think the best thing any of us can take from that day is that life is short enjoy your life and your loved ones while they are here

You don't feel like that's giving up on people as a whole. You could be right thier still have terriost on star trek.

DragonZero
09-11-2003, 03:51 PM
i don't feel like it's giving up at all i feel like it's just being real about the situation because obviously none of us are in the position to do anything about it so that's why i say that

G-man, November 11th is set aside to remember all of the people lost in war. Septmember 11th is like a rememberance day for terrorism.

Why was it that the only time they had a mexican on star trek(ricardo montalban) he stole the ship. That's just blatant stereotyping....

I kinda like Creed's perspective.

It's not just about terrorism conducted on native soil. For once, Americans, if not the world, were made aware that terrorism can occur anywhere. People who were often ignorant or unaware of the effect of terrorism suddenly came to have an entirely new perspective on the subject. Suddenly people had a clue what it was like for people in certain countries and regions (e.g. in Eastern Europe, Middle East, South Africa, etc), to live in total fear.

This awareness I think is working towards creating the level of partnership Gman is proposing but I think it will take many years of ongoing work and collaboration to build a solid partnership and a hell of a lot of diplomacy.
