I don't really care much for this song.
Jay-Z does his thing on it though.

it bangs in the car. yeah the cdq version is waayy better than the live one. And this is the Jay the people want...he still talkin about the streets. I think on Kingdom Come he lost his connection with the fans. This is blueprint 1-black album Jay-Z. I like it more than anything on Kingdom Come and American Gangster even. Not that I didn't like American Gangster, it was good but I think Jay is at his best with Kanye(just blaze etc.). He did AG with Diddy...its not the same.

i like it more then everything on kingdom come except the prelude...its hard for me to compare it to some of the songs from american gangster. I've only listened to the dirty version twice but im feeling it. I think the direction that jay-z brings this album in will depend on the beats supplied by kanye...but i trust jiggas judgement. He knows what to do when he hears any beat but especially a kanye beat.

^My sister said why did Jay-Z go back to his past style of money, thugs etc. I told her thats what people want. lol. Jay is better rapping in his old style. Kingdom Come Wasn't as fun to listen to.lol

co-sign

its not even that kingdom come was bad...it had alotta hype being jay-z's first cd after retiring and alotta fans say it didnt live up to the hype. Im not hating on what he did...but he switched it up too much. Some of the songs were boring...but minority report was deep. I can only listen to beach chair when im :439:....trouble was nice...dig a hole was wack (mainly because of the hook)...sorry to say but i thought lost ones was boring...you know how i feel about the prelude...anything was dissapointing after hearing how well pharell and jay-z worked together on allure...overall the album was dissapointing but not as bad as people say it was. It wasnt pure garbage..it definitly had its moments.

Songs i like
prelude
minority report
trouble
I made it
Kingdom come
oh my god

thats 6 songs....and do you wanna ride aint bad.

He rebounded real nice with American gangster and we know now that we can count on BP3 being a real good album since we know kanye is producing most of it. Hes still one of the most consistent rappers.

I guess I was a rare person who thought Kingdom Come was awesome. I really enjoy that record and it still gets spins on my Ipod and in the H3. I think it was Jay's approach to his grown up swagger. The only tracks I wasn't feeling were Hollywood and Dig A Hole (although I'll let it play through when it comes on.) I liked everything else and think it's a fantastic Hov effort.

Jay's freestyle on Hot 97 right before Kingdom Come came out was ill:

"See Jesus see Judas/See Caesar, see Brutus/See success is like suicide"

"Everybody screamin they want the old Hov/But the new improved Hov hit like Albert Pujols"
