I am strongly against moderators! I think interventions are waranted only in very extreme cases, and Rick has done a great job so far.

Some automated moderation, like deleting threads with < N responses in the first M days, would be fine, however.

But no human moderators, please, other than Rick.

The less regulation, the better.

i have no problem, with or without mods, but that automatic thing sounds good, not delete the topics but just close them, so people wont spam them

If you are closing them you might as delete them, I dont like the idea of closing or deleting threads if they havent gotten a reply because sometimes I shift through some pages and find posts to reply to...I think if they get past possibly page 7-10 then ok delete them but only when they are pushed that far back....

not locked right after page one, but locked after months, this happened in the last forums, there where threads brought up from months ago, that stuff rigth there got annoyed, cuz when i came to these forums i didnt know if the topic was new or old and i hated to read the dates on each post :D

what we do need is clean cut boxing forum, i mean that right there was the forbiden area, you had to say something smart with facts :( or dont say nothing at all. of course the boxing lounge needs to mods :D

Ohh yeah topics that are like "Im in the hospital" dated on 9/14/2004 and a thread where their is extreme racism/hatred should be moderated and dealt with accordingly....However one could edit certain posts if someone gets out of line and says *deleted for unsuitable for comment* or something of that nature...

Also a moderator should try and make posts fluid such as if one person is talking with another and being civil and someone jumps in and just replies "Insert derrogatory comment here" then that will be dealt with...


Their should be no bannings and deleted/locked threads if used and with good judgement and reasoning, Also leeches should/will not be tolerated.

And you guys are smart enough to know what is "TOO far"??

Im open to free speech for anyone, so I dont think their should be and I believe Reeno dealt w/ the racist comments that were on here a short while back briskly and accordingly....


On this forum their is little need as we are not out of control and when something does need to be done Rick jumps on it. I think we are pretty under control the way we are though.

i have checked all the forums i could and i saw one thing that this one doesnt have that they all do, MOD'S and i believe thats what makes these forums different from the rest, Rick leaves us alone, to do all the crazy SH*T we do, other ones theirs people agreeing with eachother, but these everyone has a different opinion, we dont get our threads deleted, unless it goes way to far into religion, race etc. think about it, most of us would of been banned in other forums cuz of our posts, but here we do what we want, and having MOD'S would change everything, we would be the same as the other forums, we dont want to be controled by no-body, we like to run wild in here :D
