Anyone have any thoughts for steve sutherland youngest aussie lad to whack on the gloves for aussie and go to the olympics.

how does everyone think he'll go.

fletcher is already knock out of competition but was pretty unlucky to get a cuban first up

sounds like we've all got our little connections.. todd kidd's trainer takes classes at the gym i go to. also see nathan di carlo at uni quite often so would have been good if he'd made the team.

i cant watch olympic boxing after what happened to rjj, i mean it was a while ago but how convincingly he won and they could still go against him proves u cant trust judges lol

Our 2000 team produced 3 (paper) World Champions; Danny Green, Michael Katsidis and Daniel Geale. Who from this year's squad, if any, will go on to forge a good pro career?

O'Mahoney and Fletcher have retired, Little and Pitt are too old. Maybe young Sutherland will be primed for a good charge in the lighter divisions.

boyd just went down 18:8 after taking the first round 5:4. His a local young fella who trains with 2004 olympian joel brunker. Brunker has his first pro fight later this month

do you think that the scoring for the olympics needs to change as i've seen a number of fights that have had many punches land and are good punches but not scored

It actually is changing. There are a few threads about it in NSB worth reading.
