Rangers couldn't even compete in the Championship, let alone the Premiership.

I've already explained to you that you can't say that because of the extra revenue that would be available to Rangers in the Premiership.

Nah I think Rangers would do ok! They would definitely be at a disadvantage, because top players are gonna choose living in a place like London or Manchester over Glasgow(no disrespect to Scotland I went to Edinburgh, it was lovely). Then again, money talks, so you never know. I think they would be hitting around the level of Spurs in the prem(the 5th/6th best team).

Yeah like the £12M except significantly more.

Why don't Celtic and Rangers join the Premiership then? They would just end up the same way as Cardiff.

I'm not going to entertain silliness. I could have a go at your team but I'm actually a Newcastle fan so it would be counter-productive.

I was there on a tour with my footy team. We played a few Edinburgh teams including Hearts youth(lost 4-1). I stayed in the centre most of the time, so i probably didnt venture into the badlands.

Mighty my arse. Megalomaniacs! They should have realised that SPL is second rate like the other feeder leagues.

Because the Scots had their own league long ago, whereas the Welsh did not have one until recently and have their history in the English league. It was even commonly called the English Cup until Cardiff won it decades ago and took it back to Wales. They then referred to it as the FA Cup.

The old firm on the other hand have their history in their own country and league and wouldn't leave it for something so risky and unpredictable. CL qualification is the goal so what woulod they get from going to EPL and trying to crack big four? BTW, Celtic were the first UK team to win the CL so the league has not always been utterly ****e and history repeats itself!

The attraction to the Old Firm of playing in the Premiership is simple - money.
