Crystalline Dream 09-02-2003, 01:46 PM yeah, she doesn't like it rough I heard she was pregnant, btw nance 09-02-2003, 02:20 PM Originally posted by Carne Asada that's funny but if it was one of our kids we wouldn't think it was so funny Exactly! Someone tried taking one of my daughters when she was three, straight from my arms. Because I am an alert person, I was able to abort that attempt. My kids have been taught how to get away and fight back. This is the main reason we will be offering Little Ninjas at our school. It is to teach the kids what to do to avoid getting grabbed, and if grabbed, what to do to get out of it...... it's no fun when your child is missing. When Dan was three, he disappeared....wanted to be a big boy and go potty by himself, he just forgot to tell anyone and he was gone in a flash. We were in Costco. They shut the store down instantly as soon as I told someone. He was found, scared but safe. We were lucky. Some parents aren't. Bzob 09-02-2003, 02:21 PM That is ****ed up, tell us more?! nance 09-02-2003, 02:30 PM What? Dan missing in Costco? Or someone trying to take my daughter? Never a dull moment in my house. *sigh* Bzob 09-02-2003, 02:38 PM The daughter thing nance 09-02-2003, 04:12 PM Some guy followed me from the store. As I went into my dad's apartment, this creepy looking guy asked me a question about my car.....I answered and went inside. Told my dad about it and grabbed Ashes and went to the laundry room (at the apt. complex). I saw the guy drive off then from in front of the apartment. I told my dad's neighbor that I had a creepy feeling and that if he heard a scream, to come running. Went on to finish up my laundry, when I walked out of the L. room, I saw the van with the side door open and about 3-4 scrawny looking kids inside it and the man driving yelled "There she is and pointed at me" I ran!! I never had run so hard and fast in my life.....the van comes tearing around the corner just as I reach my dad's building. I run inside, dump Ashes on Grandpa's lamp and pick up the phone and dial 911. Dad puts her down and runs outside and didn't see the van. The cops come, take a report, talk to my neighbor. It turns out that the neighbor had a friend with him (they were working on the car in the parking lot) and the friend told the creepy guy where I was headed (dumbass) and the man followed me there. He felt bad after that and I let him. My daughter says I border on the edge of paranoia....but when it happens to you, it scares the hell out of you. BTW, she's the daughter that has the black belt. The other daughter is the one that needs the self-defense lessons. Bzob 09-02-2003, 04:20 PM That is messed up... handjobs4dollars 09-02-2003, 04:46 PM I dumb enough to get kidnapped. Crystalline Dream 09-02-2003, 06:18 PM Ashes, is that your daughter's name? Fallout 09-02-2003, 07:47 PM Originally posted by Gman I dumb enough to get kidnapped. :stupid: nance 09-03-2003, 01:42 AM Originally posted by Crystalline Dream Ashes, is that your daughter's name? Nickname, short for Ashley, when little she used to think that when we sang Ring around the Rosies, we were saying Ashleys Ashleys we all fall down, so that's where the n/n came from.......oldest one is called Blondie, for obvious reasons, she's always in the water and has beautiful hair......and son is called daredevildan for more obvious reasons.......5 broken bones and other numerous trips to the ER...lol nance 09-03-2003, 01:43 AM Originally posted by Gman I dumb enough to get kidnapped. I'll kidnap you, you would get to live in Cali and you can choke my son when he misbehaves...deal? The Jake 09-03-2003, 01:52 AM That is some ****ed up ****. Arju had a guy try some **** like that once, she pulled a knife on his ass. The guy ****ed off after that. You hardly ever hear this **** happening in Australia..... - J. nance 09-03-2003, 01:56 AM I had a guy try to rob me once while I was working for Domino's Pizza, but he was drunk and I was fast...lol. The guy fell into the creek at the complex I was in....LMAO..... Seriously, though. I've been lucky except for that one scare. My kids are very aware of what goes on around them, I think, because of that very scare. I'd like to think that I didn't make them paranoid, just more aware of thier surroundings. The Jake 09-03-2003, 02:03 AM Some people look like easier targets than others. I'd say you fit that bill, MCM. No offense. Play it safe. Pack a Desert Eagle. http://www.combat-folk.ru/games/counter-strike/weaponz/desert-eagle.jpg - J. nance 09-03-2003, 02:09 AM LOL, no problem, none taken. Looks can be deceiving, you know....lol. A friend once gave me a keychain, "I only look sweet and innocent" LOL |
