One reason why he is the best in the world in MMA.
pesticid 07-31-2008, 08:15 AM Man, ring card girls in Brazil are amazing.
Solomon Mbae 07-31-2008, 08:19 AM That other dude is arguably the worst boxer i've ever seen
jakkups 07-31-2008, 08:35 AM here's his boxing record if anyone is interested.

the other guy was making he debut.. hardly proof that hes the best mma fighter. Fedor is the best.

Didnt say proof, I said one of the reasons. And PfP Silva is the best.
He gained that recognition by learning his craft, and being able to
execute what he knows. Bruce Lee would be proud.
Fedor.......???????? NOT! You musta meant Silva.

The best? Fedor is the best P4P fighter.
Hell, forget P4P. He is the best fighter.
In MMA. Fedor is the greatest of all time.
I really don't see an argument that could be made otherwise.
That and if they were to fight at a catchweight. Let's say, 215. Fedor would destroy him.
jakkups 08-01-2008, 12:47 PM They may aswell meet at 205. Fedor is only 6ft and comes into fights around 220-230. I'm sure cutting wouldn't be a big issue for Fedor. If anything at 6'2 and at 205 Anderson would look the bigger guy. Either way would love to see it go down.
pugilistfan 08-01-2008, 06:47 PM No disrespect to Silva but he would be absolutely murdered if he fought RJJ in boxing. Not only was this guy one of the worst boxers ive ever seen but the guy still managed to land a few hard right hands cleanly to Silvas dome.
If you put even a solid professional in there, Silva wont see the final bell.
Not to mention the guy didnt even mount any kind of attack. The guy was like a foot shorter than Silva. haha. Just a perfect handpicked opponent.

And as good as Silva is, Fedor is just way too big for him. Fedor is just naturally bigger, stronger etc. Silva would obviously be good standing but I doubt Silva could take a punch from a heavyweight like Fedor and if it went to the ground Silva would get mauled by the stronger and more effective ground fighter in Fedor.
MJ406 08-02-2008, 02:07 PM wow looking at his record, kinda amazing that there were semi legit talks of Silva taking on Roy Jones Jr.
and what does this prove regarding Anderson Silva in MMA?
he beat a guy with a record of 0-0 to make his own record 1-1
Silva has potential in boxing as he's very naturally gifted
but he's clearly the better MMA fighter, and this video shows it.
Silva doesn't belong in Boxing, a shot Roy Jones would KO the guy. Stick to his craft, even so Fedor is P4P better than Silva anyway. It's not one of the reasons Silva is good anyway. Silva got hit clean by a guy on his pro debut.
MJ406 08-02-2008, 04:23 PM o yeah no kidding, MMA is clearly Silva's strength as he's probably better with his kicks and knees.
