What makes them different from others. I know they have elastic in them or something like that. Could someone please say what makes them better than standard ones.

The ones I am looking at are 4.57 metres (180") Huge difference as most are 2m.

Mexican style hand wraps are the best. Very comfortable on the hands.

i've used the mexican style handwraps and they did alright, but nothing has protected my hands better than the evergel glove wraps. however, they are cheaply made and don't last as long as the mexican style handwraps.

Mexican Style are longer, stretchy, and softer. I think they wrap around the hands better than the cloth ones which are kind of stiff and thicker. Definitely go with the mexican style wraps.

DON'T. I have heard terrible views on them. They don't fit into your gloves and offer no wrist protection.

I've been boxing for over 10 years and have always used the Mexican style hand-wraps until lately. I bought a pair of ringside gel shock hand wraps. They are comfertable and offer alot of protection. Not only that, but they come with the Mexican style wrap as well, to offer wrist support. They are not to expensive and I won't ever use another regular hand-wrap again.

The material is stretchy and more maliable to the movements of your hand. Sometimes normal wraps can cause problems if not put on properly. Mexican wraps will never restrict a apart of your hand. Once I wrapped my hands wrong and it put strain on a previously broken finger after I punched the pads.
