Oh this is just sad, Holyfield is still fighting. This is the one fight that I may not watch on the PPV card. Anyways I pick Donald to win by UD.

Whose your pick?

Holyfield, he knows he can actually win this one and then face lemon Brewster and win the WBO belt

Do the math - Larry Donald at 80% of what he once was vs. Holyfield at 25% of what he once was...

Donald in his prime would be a holyfield of today, I say a long and boring 12 round decision that could go either way but a sympathetic judge scores a round for evander which causes controversy but doesnt care because they want to see holyfield retire and giving him a win will do it quicker then handing him another loss....

Winning is the only way for holyfield to retire a Loss is not an option for the judges or holyfield.....

Holyfield is one of my alltime favorite fighters... I just have a bad feeling that he will lose this fight badly just like he did with Toney!!! It will be another sad day for him and his fans.

Actually, I think Evander losing very badly and decisively would be the best possible thing for him and his fans...

I supose the only reason Holyfield actually continues his he probably feels that the heaveyweight division is so bad that he may have a shout of winning something, its a real shame, mind you I guess he might be right, in his whole career he'll never have seen it worse.

Even then, I don't know if he will retire.Look at his last fight, he lost very badly.

You might be right, but then again, I think the only hope for him retiring is a KO1 (or 2) - otherwise, who knows how long this might go on...

As much a Holyfield should retire, he will win this one in my opinion. He will win for one reason he is just overall better than Larry Donald, even at 42.

Not a chaqnce in hell of Evander winning. He has gone so far back now and reports have said he is looing older than ever in the gym. Donald isn`t a puncher so i pick an easy dec win for him but don`t rule out Evander being stopped late, it depends on how Donald haddles him when he hurts him.

Damn Evander! Why must you continue to make yourself look foolish by continuing to fight past 40? Man, I loved Evander when he was competitive but now this is just some bull****. I hope he gets thoroughly beat and calls it quits. I really don't want him to go out a la Meldrick Taylor.

I don't think you have to worry for a while, bigdubb, if Holy wins this one i'll bet his next fight will be Brewster!

Holyfield wins this one. Think about it, although it's true that he's been having a very bad run, and it will continue, his losses are never really gonna come worse than the one against Toney. And the only two ways that he retires are if he takes another prolonged beating like that, which he won't, because the only heavyweights who throw that much leather are JT and Chris Byrd, or if he gets another belt.

Also, remember that in all of his losses EXCEPT the ones against Byrd and Toney, he was very competitive, and a lot of them could have gone either way. Really, remember when "The Queer Man" Ruiz convinced the ref that Holyfield had hit him low when he came close to being stopped by a bodyshot? Or how about how close his fight with Lewis is.

The only problems are that he's several years removed from these fights, and his competitiveness may have suffered because of his age as much as the type of fighters who beat him. So, no, don't rule Larry Donald out, but remember, Holyfield may have some more than we give him credit for.

Why don't you leave instead of inviting people who express themselves strongly to do so.

The reason Evander will lose this fight is because Donald is a runner!!! Holy will get tired and collapse like he did with Toney... He needs a fighter that will stand in there and trade with him!!! That is his only chance Evander has to win again.

Speaking of bums...

Lamon Brewster is a bum, he got no skills, but i have to admit that i respect the guy because he has the best attitude. No matter how bad things go for the guy, he keeps trying different things and never gives up. he deserves points for his determination, and he'd probably fight anyone ( if Don King will let him )

Neither man is a bum.

Larry Donald is a bum compared to Holyfield and all other top heavyweight fighters. Vitali and Byrd wouldn't even break out in a sweat against him. Even Lamon seems more appealing at the side of Larry Donald. However i am very respectful towards Donald as a person purely because he has shown nothing but respect for Holyfield. As for the fight i think it will be very rough but i think Evander will stop him. If by some chance Larry does win i'm gonna cry.

I know that but Toney is an excellent defensive fighter like Byrd which has the same affect!!! ;)

Donald has only been KO'D one time in his career and that was by Vitali... Holyfield won't ko him cause Donald will be too defensive!!! Holy will have to try and win a decision and I don't think he has it in him anymore!!! :(
I think Holy is just picking the wrong fights at this stage in his career!!!
