I'm going to vote Nas' latest. Anyone that can't appreciate that album is either a hater, or doesn't like Hip Hop music. The message is strong, the lyrical skills are just as strong, and it's fairly well produced, aside from a couple beats.

feel free to add to the list.

1.Queens Get The Money-not having a kickdrum in the beat shifts the focus to the crazy lyrical display, and 50 Cent diss. 5

2.You Can't Stop Us Now-I like Rza's version better, and Ill Bill's, still solid though.3.5

3.Breathe-great song, nice, smooth beat. Love it. 4.5

4.Make The World Go Round-wack beat, fairly boring to me, the rhymes far outweigh the beat and hook. I could see it being radio-friendly though. 3

5.Hero-this is classic ****. Sounds like a late 90's neptunes beat. Lyrically crazy. 5

6.America-strong song, well-executed. 4

7.Sly Fox-possibly my favorite hip hop song this year(along with Tech N9ne's "Killer", still bumping Wayne's "A milli" alot too.) great beat, the 2nd verse is probably the verse of the year so far. 5

8.Testify-seems sort of unfocused, beat sounds generic, just "ok" to me. 3.5

9.N.IGGER-great song, perfect example for the reasoning of the album title Nas wanted. 4.5

10.Fried Chicken-least favorite song on the album. I skip it almost every time. I've probably only heard it twice in it's entirety. 2

11.Project Roach-not bad, kind of short, creative concept. 3

12. Y'all my ni**as-another great example for the reasoning behind the album. great song. 4.5

13.We're Not Alone-GREAT song, sick beat, well done. 2nd best song on the album. 5

14.Black President-ok song, maybe I don't care much for it because I don't think Obama's a good, trustworthy presidential candidate. 3

To me it's Nas and it's not even close. We should be aksing who had the 2nd best album....thats up for debate. BTW for the record IMO Rick Ross CD is better than Tha Carter III.....So I'll go with that second.

You're boy obviously is biased and narrow in his tatse in music like you or simply hasn't listened to Nas CD all the way thru. Carter III is garabge compared the ****** album.

Different opinions, brother. That's how the world turns, you know that. I thought it was plain boring, same spitting style. It made me sleepy.

Thousand of ppl leaving comments on Youtube can't all be delusional. Like I said, everyone has different opinions, but as of now? Wayne is waaay bigger then Nas. His album wasn't even a blimp on the radar.

You're right but it still baffles you as it might baffle you......It's far from boring and truely a lyrical album of biblical proportions when it comes to Hip Hop. Seriously......

I listen to him? But I just can't feel some of his songs. I admit, some of his songs I like a lot. But a lot is the some ol' bull**** style. I just can't do it. I like it when Wayne is lyrical, but his lyrical is different from Nas.

lil wayne is the most overrated rapper ever. can someone answer me a question does he freestyle all his songs or does he actually put in time to write em and then record em?

Yeah, hearing Wayne over-pronounce words that end in "er" keeps you awake and alert. :)

I still listen "A Milli" frequently enough. I don't know why a lot of people hate on that song, best on the album probably. If you like Wayne's "lyrical ****", check out the first track on Nas' album. It's called "Queens get the money", c'mon verse, give it a listen.:luvbed:

Nas is one of the kings of lyrics. Its his delivery, he doesn't give it heart.

Actually your part right, iv'e said that alot, but sometimes he's on delivery wise. The thing is, intelligent lyrics keep my attention more than good delivery and so-so lyrics.

lol speaking of delivery, not dissing him or anything, but personally i can only listen to about three Wayne songs at once. After that, his voice and delivery goes from being interesting to insanely annoying.

Oh, as far as the answer to the thread, Nas edges out The Roots to take the title.

Trademarc's "Bad Blood" > A Milli

Believe it or not, I'm listening to the Nas album straight through for the first time right now; only Internet connection for a couple months was at work. I like it so far, but i'm not wowed yet....

I didn't think much of The Carter 3, The Roots album was disappointing to me......

It's a changing musical taste of mine I think. The Ryan Leslie, Robin Thicke, and Ne-Yo albums coming up have me a lot more excited then the rap landscape
