Question. How to get a high heart rate/ to lose fat, without getting short on breath. I get short on breath pretty fast, due to little bits of astma too. Maybe just training the lungs a lot by doing cardio? Anyone got experience?
Just train and it'll do it over time. You have to improve your cardio and the only way i know of doing it is training. A more knowlegable person in training and nutrition may be able to provide you with more info, but all i would say is to do jogging.
Start shorter and work your way up to gradually improve.

Only do what you can handle though and gradually increase your speed/distance when you feel you can handle it. Do it 3-4 times a week and bobs your uncle!!
e.g. I run to a train station near my house, there and back is around 4 mile round trip. Depending on how i feel it can take anywhere between 30-40 minutes.
