dave sands career 1941- 1952 held three Australian titles simultaneously (middleweight, light heavyweight and heavy wight) whilst staying at the middleweight weight. Winning the heavyweight title weighing in at about 70Kg dave did win a commenwealth middleweight title and had a record of 97 wins - 10 losses - 1 draw with 63 ko's and died in a car crash when i THINK was going to be heading to America for a world title shot

dave sands obviously, he would have won a world title anyway if he wasnt killed in a truck crash age 26.....he was ranked no.3 middleweight in the world at the time.....
