Okay, so there's been a lot of stories about Hopkins' next fight in the last week or so. Does anyone know FOR SURE who he is fighting next, if anything has been completely confirmed, and if a date (or an approximate date) has been set?

Cool, thanks for the quick reply. What was all this talk about Hakkar last week about?

jesus just talk mate, cant see anyone wanting hakaar back in the ring with nard. i saw that was in south africa at the time never seen a guy run around the ring quite that badly in the opening stanza in my life.

i was nearly laughing my ass off.

Okay...when I read that stuff I was like "Hakkar? Why oh why?" Thought maybe Hopkins was taking an easy one to get his 20th defence. Hey, it could still happen.

cant see it myself, think he is holding out for a superfight, reckon you will hear more once winky vs mosely ii is out of the way.

then all the options should be in the table, think he will only fight anothe middle if no other options are available for big money spinner then he may take on a middlewiehgt for his 20th.

think right now he is keeping his options open.

pure conjecture on my part but seems to me thats whats on at the mo!

the only mega fight would be against Tito...

I could see him taking the Sturm fight and then going for either Tito or the winner of the Wright-Mosley match (probably Wright).

After that all bets are off. He'll probably be smart enough to retire soon but may make one splash in a higher division before doing so.

I'd love to see Sturm get a chance, after being Robbed Blind against DLH. It wouldn't be a Megafight, but most people registered with BoxingScene (for instance) would be very interested to see how Sturm represents himself at the top-notch.

Also, Sturm wouldn't be a complete "walkover" like most people would choose when looking for win #20 and history. Bernard wants a Legacy, right? Well, nobody would say he took the easy path by choosing Sturm. But, I hop to hell we see Hops and Tito for #20, but that's very unlikely ..... damn.

The way Sturm fought against DLH he definitely deserves a matchup against the best. And while he may not be considered the best, he is, as you say, definitely a worthy opponent. I'm sure Hopkins knows that if he pops a tomato can for number 20 than it won't look so good when his "legacy" is discussed.

Here's hoping Tito's #21.

He should annihilate Tito one more time and then move up and fight Tarver. Hopkins can carry the weight fine IMO...
