Kobe Bryant 07-15-2008, 09:58 AM Gotta get this today. Haven't heard anything but a few tracks. But it's been 2 years since his last album dropped. So I am definitely ready for that new Nas. He did not just name his album $igger and then not support the concept. He is addressing a lot of relevant issues and poetically describes how the word is used, how the world views people etc. Good album. Solid 8 to 8.5 in my opinion. TRAVI$ 07-15-2008, 11:54 AM The track with Game and Chris Brown I did'nt like baya 07-15-2008, 12:01 PM simply put, i'm glad that i was from the generation of nas. hero is a nasty track. Solomon Mbae 07-15-2008, 12:09 PM The intro to "You can't stop us now" Will harden many men BEHEMOTH 07-15-2008, 01:37 PM http://i36.tinypic.com/20qc8i9.jpg Tuggers1986 07-15-2008, 01:41 PM http://i36.tinypic.com/20qc8i9.jpg Not feeling it then? And you muh****as better not be overhyping this ****. Kobe Bryant 07-15-2008, 06:43 PM You Can't Stop Us Now, Hero, America, Sly Fox, Testify, Slave and The Master, Unititled, Fried Chicken, Yall My *****s, Black President, etc. Yup this album is serious. Just been listenin to it for the past couple of hours tryin to feel it out. And it's really a dope complete album. The whole vibe of the album is great it flows really good. Damn Testify is on some other ****. Song is crazy........ Truth 07-15-2008, 06:53 PM http://i36.tinypic.com/20qc8i9.jpg LOL :haha: Truth 07-15-2008, 06:54 PM Nas steped his lyrical game up. res 07-15-2008, 08:21 PM The track with Game and Chris Brown I did'nt like An excellent radio track, even though it's about absolutely nothing. Good album, I think with it Nas has proven that he is one of the only old guard artists in the main stream that is still trying to put out the highest qualiy music he can. Most artists have a change in lifestyle after their success and it's difficult to write about what they once wrote about. Even if they didn't really live the exact tough street life-style in their songs, for example, their head was in the street so that is what they wrote about. After their success their head is in a different place but they try to produce the same stuff. Nas is trying to write from where his head is now and it is pretty impressive. Nas is getting pretty political in this one, something he yelled at P Diddy for doing lol. Kobe Bryant 07-15-2008, 08:54 PM I think the album is brilliant. He go the message across well. I can see though how it would turn some poeple off. People nowadays just wanna cruise to the music and not think much of it. Which is cool I like to do that as well. But I can still appreciate something with a message. And Nas did that. heat27 07-15-2008, 10:36 PM i copped the album already VERSATILE2K12 07-15-2008, 10:46 PM http://i36.tinypic.com/20qc8i9.jpg haha. Gotta give you karma for that, Jack.haha MetalVomit 07-15-2008, 11:45 PM worth the money. Lyrically, Nas impressed me for the first time in a couple years. A couple of the beats are wack("make the world go round" in particular.), but this is EASILY the best Hip Hop album to drop this year. I'd say this, the roots' and atmosphere's albums are the top 3 so far this year as far as Hip Hop albums. Nothing's ****ing with that new Beck album in 2008. |
