I was gonna pull you up on Robert Green but i'll allow it. His form for West Ham is usally spot on but he isn't consistant enough to make my top 10. Howard is a keeper that just cracks under pressure as proved in his United days and Carson has just been ****ed up psychologically ever since that clown McClaren put him in sticks for one our most important international games in years.

Exactly Buffon proved why he is the best keeper in the world at the Euro the saves he pulled off kept Italy in the competition

Van Der Sar is a proven quality keeper. Sure, he's on the way down at his age but he's still easily near the top in most peoples lists.

I don't rate Reina all too highly. He's short, doesn't command the area as well as others and tends to make some big mistakes. Sure he's a good shot stopper, but most goalkeepers are.

This was a list about Premiership goalkeepers so I don't know why you're bringing others into it.

But for the record Buffon is THE best goalkeeper in the world, bar none.

Short goalkeepers don't command the area as well as taller keepers. They can't come and claim crosses as easily and elect to punch a lot more.

Sure, there are exceptions. Casillas and Shay Given are around 6'1 and they're solid keepers. I never had that much faith in Barthez, he was way too erratic.

He did it in only 90 games compared to 94 for Clemence. 'He is a good shotstopper but most keepsers are' you say. Then why don't the tall nerds not beat him to the honour of being best keeper in Prem? You talk ****, he is also a decent sweeper and a set peice specialist. He got us to Athens and Wembley the year before. He didn't take 7 shots either. He very rarely lets in howlers and going back 2 seasons for an error shows how desperate you are! LMAO.
