Who better than who and why??

Chamillion vs FAB - Chamillion is better due to the fact that he has a story to tell with every flow. Although FAB is one of my favorite artist out there..

Ice Cube VS LL Cool J - WOW..somebody help your boy out here..Cube is nice but LL = Hip Hop...

Snoop VS Master P. - Gotta go with the Ghetto Bill Gates Master P. This man once had the entire game on lock. Yes, even through the Biggi & Pac era..

etc...KEEP IT GOING..

T.I. vs. Rick Ross - Gotta go with T.I. He knows how to produce better and he came up with his own style. You can see influences of Biggie in Ross. Plus T.I. songs bump for longer than Ross songs.

Freeway vs. Beanie Sigel - Tough choice. While many people around here hate Freeway, I actually respect his style. But Beanie Sigel is better all around, except probably in flow.

Jay-Z is the more complete artist... Scarface is extremely dope and this is a hard comparsion but when it comes down to it.. Jigga man takes the crown.

Yea but Scarface has experienced both Group and Solo success..That's pretty big!

Tough choice here..

How can you say that Geto Boys help Scarfaces case against Jay-Z, but when it's N.W.A, a group that (world wide) changed the way the ENTIRE genre was going creatively, it can't help Ice Cube against LL Cool J?

I like a lot of Ll Cool J's earlier ****, and I know what he did for hip hop. I think they are both equal in longevity, in terms of their legendary status and I think that they both broke ground for their coast. But when it comes to who put out the better music, Ice Cube.. HANDS DOWN for me.

I agree with you that Fabolous is better than Chamillionaire, and I'm a HUGE Chamillionaire fan. But, Cham, if anything, is UNDERRATED. He put out songs like 'The Evening News', 'Ridin' Dirty' and a song like 'Hip Hop Police' as singles. All songs with social issues. And made them catchy. To top that off, 'Hip Hop Police' actually features a legendary artist, a bold move for a single. And he was willing to BRICK to do it. Sad as that is.

He's INCREDIBLY underrated.

Cube all day. This guy is basically the author of ganster rap. He's touched on far more issues than LL and was much more creative. LL was mostly lovey dovey. He's still a legend but Cube is top 5 to me period.

He was NWA. That's why when he left things fell apart. And his first 4 albums are nearly flawless. Then he came back a couple of years ago at 40 and dropped a gem. And next month he's droppin Raw Footage. And all three songs I 've heard off the album have been pure piff.

The Quality of what Cube has put out is really the case for him over L.L. In my mind when it comes to contribution to Hip hop only four other Hip Hop acts can even compare to L.L. and they are all pre-gangsta rap era, they had to do with bringing Hip Hop into existence as a genere of music. lol That said, I haven't really been a fan of L.L. since after 1985, the advancements of Kane and Rakim made him irelevant (and wack). When you combine Cube's influence on Hip Hop which has been sizable (but not quite on L.L. 's level) with the substance of what he has put out, you have to give it to Cube.

Oh and i say this as someone that actually enjoys L.L.'s oldest stuff (before 87) to this day more than most of Cube's work.

Very good point. All I would add is that Cube, along with N.W.A. and Ice T did invent an entire subgenre. LL Cool J, created a new flow and delivery, along with a style. They did all of that and then some. I just happen to think the im[act was longer lasting. Though, at the time, LL seemed bigger on the surface and I would understand an argument to the contrary.

Royce Da 5'9 vs. Rass Kass

Battle of the criminally underrated emcees. I think Royce has an edge because he makes mainstream music just as well as he makes music for his more hardcore fan base. Examples:

Common has had the more OVERALL focused music. Though, he did have one suspect album. He releases on a regular, sells well enough for his niche and I'd disagree with you.

Nonetheless, as you said, ridiculously close.

On the subject of a longer lasting legacy, I would actually extend L.L.'s legacy into the present. L.L. popularized hardcore Hip Hop during the era of The Fat Boys and Doug E Fresh. The whole gangsta rap movement I think would have been impossible without that shift; A change in the mood and attitude of Hip Hop in general.

I have to go with Common. This guys has classic solo albums under his belt. Andre is quite abstract and really a dope emcee in his own right. But Common gets the edge he's deep in his thought pattern and makes a lot of soul music.

I'm glad he hooked up with Ye because he's getting the recognition that he should have gotten his entire career.

DMX was my favorite from from the time he dropped his first album, until he dropped his 4th. Since "The Great Depression", his career has been....greatly depressing. Drugs are bad news.
