View Full Version : How would you rate Nas' career? KnockoutTheFat 07-08-2008, 08:14 PM 1-10. Starting from Illmatic. RAESAAD 07-08-2008, 08:15 PM Solid 8 and an ATG. Tmb04 07-08-2008, 09:06 PM 8 he aint an all time great but he up there tho el malo 07-08-2008, 09:36 PM 9 one of the all time greats! Kobe Bryant 07-08-2008, 10:13 PM I think he's the greatest to touch the mic. But I give him a nine. People complain too much about not putting out another Illmatic. If he did that people would just say that he's repetitive. He's one of the only artists to truly evolve over the years and doing it with success. Kobe Bryant 07-08-2008, 10:14 PM The first 6 choices shouldn't even be options. No matter how much you dislike him he's far from terrible. Mr. Ryan 07-08-2008, 10:25 PM It's funny how people hate on Nastraudamus and It Was Written, I always liked those. Up Until God's Son all of his albums were tight. Illmatic and Stillmatic are instant classics. I'd say he's a 9. res 07-08-2008, 10:35 PM It's funny how people hate on Nastraudamus and It Was Written, I always liked those. Up Until God's Son all of his albums were tight. Illmatic and Stillmatic are instant classics. I'd say he's a 9. Who hates on It Was Written? His second best album, and his best lyrical album. ROSEWOOD 07-09-2008, 12:11 PM Great! I dislike a lot of his work but the dude has survived the times..Plenty have came and gone but he's still here.. black.ink 07-09-2008, 01:41 PM Quick review: Illmatic - Untouchable It Was Written - 10/10. Pure Classic. Greatest lyrical album all-time. I Am - 8/10. Underrated album. Couple fillers, but he tried something new. Nastradamus - 7/10. Not as bad as people say although possibly his worst output. Stillmatic - 9/10. Return to form. Proves to Jay he's still the best in the game. God Son - 9/10. Truly underrated. One of his best. It's like a continuation from Stillmatic with a more soulful twist. Streets Disciple. 8/10. Little disapointing. Over-produced, could have been wittled down to a single disc leaving out the weaker efforts, but there are some gems. Hip Hop is Dead - 8/10. Good album. Too much hype brings the score down from a 9 for me. Weak beats. Lost Tapes - 9/10. Absolute classics from start to finish. Overall - Great career (9). Not the greatest, but among them. His latest offering should elevate him to a top 3 all-time in most peoples lists. NeXt In Line 07-09-2008, 01:41 PM Easily an 8 or 9, his catalog ****s on most artists best work EASILY. As he says in the new ****: "Your greatest success is my worst blunder" |
