I looked at this thread before seeing the show. Damn me straght to hell. I got every fight right except for Rampage- Busta. But originally I had Rampage over Arona so I was really undefeated. I am the sheezy my nezzy. The only reason I picked Busta was because of all the Rampage nut huggaz on this site.
DragonZero 08-10-2003, 07:28 AM **** i missed 2 picks goodridge and vov damn it
Mitch78 08-10-2003, 07:53 AM I'm 7 for 7!!!

Seraph_17 08-10-2003, 09:16 AM I'm 7 for 7 also, although I was kinda hoping Vov could provbe me wrong.
lightweight 08-10-2003, 12:42 PM I was 6 for 7, I got Liddell wrong.

Yoshida beat Tamura via an ezuquiel choke
computer fogie 08-10-2003, 02:58 PM Fedor came out as aggressively as Silva; Goodridge had no chance. Poor Sak, he still has no solution for Silva (who does?). Cro-Cop is just a kicking machine; Vov was KTFO (the first time, I think). Overeem's chances were a little overrated, I thought. Busta did real well, considering the few days notice he had, but it probably wouldn't have mattered. He almost caught Rampage early, but didn't threaten him after that. He hung in til the end, both guys were gassed by then.
lightweight 08-10-2003, 02:59 PM Yeah, I just saw a pic of it, the guys on the pridecast didn't describe it well.

One of the Pridecast guys did say it was an Ezekiel choke, but I'd never heard of it.
Mitch78 08-10-2003, 04:30 PM Hey Dragonzero look at this thread
http://www.globalmma.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12292
and you can see that i'm not a liar. Me and Vulgar were right.
Now it's time to wonder how Pride will matchup the next round.
I think it's gonna go like this:
Liddell vs. Rampage
Silva vs. Yoshida
No matter how they match it up though that is gonna be frickin' incredible.

Agreed. Silva (who seems to get better and better) against either Liddell or Rampage would be awesome. I'm assuming Silva doesn't get subbed by Yoshida (this could happen, we still don't know how good Yoshida is). Yoshida might be the dark horse favorite to win it all.
KimuraMan 08-11-2003, 12:07 AM It was a sleeve choke
VulgarTheClown 08-11-2003, 12:59 AM I went 100% on this *****!
Heavyweight Matchups
Mirko "Cro-Cop" Filipovic (I do not want to pick against Vov but realistically its Cro-Cop)
Fedor Emelianenko
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
Tournament Bouts
Chuck Liddell
Quinton Jackson
Wanderlei Silva
Hidehiko Yoshida
VulgarTheClown 08-11-2003, 01:12 AM in the beginning i did think the yosh x tam fight was worked cause tamura was wailin on him but then i noticed the blood was orange and watery. but still he connected hard a bunch of times almost knockin out Yosh.
Also remember they has Yosh grabbin his knee at the end, they will pull him out due to injury before the next round so his record stays intact
purerockfury 08-11-2003, 01:33 AM i think rampage got lucky when they fixed his pants it gave him a breather
rtbrouwer 08-11-2003, 01:53 PM OMFG, this is the first time ever that Igor went KO in his life. I didn't even know it was possible.
