UD Griffin in a truly great fight. Both were hurt at different times.

I thought it was a draw or a win for rampage but whatever it's ufc and I really don't care much about it.

Four of the five rounds were fairly close, but Griffin totally dominated the second round - hurt him with several knee kicks, and then was on top of Rampage for about 3 minutes.

Griffin took some big punches, but kept coming on - he has a lot of courage. Landed some good ones too, and fought a more intelligent fight than Rampage.

Wanted Rampage to win this fight. Griffin is just too damn boring. The guy has no personality. Rampage was a good champ.

It was moderately exciting because 1) interracial fight (plenty of racists out there of each colour) and 2) they were standing on their feet for like 80% of the time.

I thought Rampage won by a point but it was a close fight.

That's how I saw it too.

You could tell by the expressions, Rampage thought he probably lost and Griffin thought he probably won (but wasn't sure) as they were waiting for the announcement.

Griffin fought very well and deserves full credit.

I didn't think Griffin did enough to take the belt.
I gave him a 10-8 round and one of the last 3.

No way he won by the convincing margin.

The fact that Rampage wasn't even pissed and toed the party line makes me wonder if this is fixed.

This was a good fight. anyone saying it's not is just a biased person blind with hate. I thought forrest worked rampage! Rampage himself acknowledges that no need to argue it. And people are so stupid and quick to say it was fixed instead of giving someone credit. Get the **** outta here and get the hate or your poor little heart. Even at the end when they were announcing the score you can see forrest kinda got disgusted and kinda tried to pull away from the ref because he thought they were going to give it to rampage. I love boxing i will always be a boxing guy but you cant like boxing and hate a good mma fight. a good fight is a good fight regardless. Congrats to forrest he has now beaten show gun and rampage wow!!!!

Why are some of you fools saying the fight was fixed? i dont get it. the fight was close we can all agree. forest won. rampage was pissed. but why would you fix this fight? rampage was a great champion , had great character, and is funny as hell. the fans like him. forest is the same and will be the same. soooooo....why would you fix the fight to have forest win? what's the benefit of having forest champ vs rampage? it doesnt make sense to fix this fight or any fight for that matter. both fighters are very well liked in the mma world and for those of you who say the fight was fixed, please explain. dont just post "the fight was fixed, this is bs" explain yourself............

But you'd be ignorant not to think that the UFC reaps the benefits of having its own 'homegrown' champion as the king in their most popular division. Not to mention the monetary benefits for the UFC's reality show.


The commentators were obviously biased.

Not sure about that, i don't really like Rampage but he hurt him at least twice a round ( in the 3rd and 4rth) and won most if not all boxing exchanges. Rampage won the first 10-9, the third 10-9, the fourth 10-9 and lost the second and the fifth(9-10, 9-10). If you don't believe me check out the fightmetrics, it's like the compubox of MMA.

UFC wanted their poster boy to get the belt, Rampage regretted what he just said after the fight and says he got robbed off his belt. Lyoto Machida agrees with me and said Rampage won the fight.

It's mostly irrelevant who won boxing exchanges, as this is not boxing, but Mixed Martial Arts. Forrest won the stand-up exchanges by pounding the **** out of Quinton's legs. And he won the fight. Three Nevada State Athletic Commission judges, and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson himself immediately after being brutally punished in the fight agrees with me.

Forrest killed Rampage's legs i give you that but i 'd rather give the round to the guy who land the cleaner effective shots to the head. Body shots and leg kicks count but except in round 2, it didn't look to me that Rampage was more hurt by Forrest's leg kicks than Forrest was hurt by Rampage's punches.

Plus i think even if the fight was close, they should give the benefit of the doubt to the champion. You need to beat the champ decisively to get the belt IMO. And Forrest didn't do it, he almost stopped Rampage round 2 but almost got stopped round 1.

this totally defeats the point of round scoring. if you win the fight, even by a small margin, then why should the other guy still walk away with the belt.

Rampage was one dimensional, and his inabilty to deal with leg kicks was embarrassing. he lost.
