this would be a dream match

View Full Version : Mayweather Jr. vs. D.L.H. at 135-140 ComeHonorChest 10-31-2004, 08:30 PM this would be a dream match kevvy1979 10-31-2004, 09:11 PM Oh man your right,I would pay good money to see it. filth 11-01-2004, 11:58 PM there would be a lot of knockdown's in this fight, constant excitement hexman 11-04-2004, 06:23 PM well a prime dlh vs a prime mayweather at 135 i say dlh ko 6 Prorock 11-10-2004, 01:28 AM Nice question. The both fighters have perfect defence. Maybe Oscar... Maybe Floyd... I think DRAW! ;) Swifty 11-10-2004, 01:33 AM damn it would be close. but id go with DLH simply because he has the greater power. jabsRstiff 11-10-2004, 10:58 AM At 135..I say Floyd wins a decision. Oscar's superior power doesn't come into play because he'll never really get to Floyd. I have visions of Oba Carr....moving & popping Oscar all night, until Oscar dropped him. Floyd, as a boxer, is on another planet from Carr. Floyd controls the pace, & finds Oscar easier to hit as the fight progresses. No one gets hurt.... Floyd w12 Oscar. bigdlb12 11-10-2004, 11:23 AM @ 135 or 140 DLH would be too much for floyd to take care of. I can see a Young DLH with Great speed and explosive power @ 140-135 I dont think Mayweather can keep going after round 7 dodge 11-13-2004, 08:53 AM DLH by a close decision. Champoreeno 11-13-2004, 10:40 AM Good question, but I think DLH wins this one handily. Mayweather best chance would be present day at 154 (sounds a little ridiculous I know), though even then I'm not sure. stu 11-13-2004, 11:43 AM I think it would be Mayweather these days as even though DLH put up a good performance against Hopkins, I think he has lost a little something. plexmc 11-15-2004, 12:40 PM Ever since DHL be traing with Mayweather sr all he has become is a slower less defencive version of floyd.... If floyd can take chicos power DHL would get served Deejay 11-18-2004, 11:45 PM DLH easy...of course that's because he'd be young, hungry & still pack some real power in his punches and physically bigger. jack_the_rippuh 11-19-2004, 02:28 PM I don't know who would win this fight, but I'd be pulling for Mayweather..I think Mayweather wants DLH for two reasons...primary reason money (as do everyone else) second reason to make his dad feel like shit.. abdiel2k3 11-19-2004, 02:30 PM at this weight both had id say equal speed Oscar takes the better offense here this is where he had no pretnce to defense he just came and attacked where mayweather has his impentrable defense so unfortunallty id have to say mayweather on this one ill tho id be cheeren for DLH the whole fight Argentina 11-23-2004, 09:19 PM a prime DLH would beat Maywweather at that weight as DLH woudl be too big and way too tough. Not to mention experienced. DLH coudlnt' get down to that weight anymore so there's no reason to guess on the otucome. mic573 11-24-2004, 12:35 AM I think alot of people are underestimating Floyd in this match. Sure Oscar had power, was quick and an offensive machine but Floyd would be quicker, not as much power but good enough and a defensive genius. He can also box better than Oscar in my opinion. It would be a close fight but I think Oscar will have a tougher time with Mayweather than Mayweather would have with Oscar. You can't hurt what you can't hit flush if at all. I say Mayweather would of pulled out the close decision. Sir_Jose 11-24-2004, 03:34 AM If you toom the DLH that slaughtered guys like Hernandez and Ruelas and put him against Floyd it would a MURDER. DLH was every bit as fast as Floyd, but not only that people really forget just how big a power puncher DLH was down at Lightweight. If Castillo could get to Floyd and give him problems then DLH would KO him. Someone said Floyd would move, but Floyd doesn't move he stands in front of you and rolls his shoulders. DLH KO 7 plexmc 11-24-2004, 03:56 AM word up on that acquitted 11-25-2004, 04:47 PM de la hoya at 140 was a monster..speed and power...this would be a boring fight thought because mayweather is a technican..de la hoya by points...similar to the whitaker fight mic573 11-25-2004, 06:44 PM If you toom the DLH that slaughtered guys like Hernandez and Ruelas and put him against Floyd it would a MURDER. If Castillo could get to Floyd and give him problems then DLH would KO him. Someone said Floyd would move, but Floyd doesn't move he stands in front of you and rolls his shoulders. DLH KO 7 Castillo only got to Floyd because of the fight Floyd fought. He stood in more in the first fight and it caused Castillo to be more effective. In the second fight Floyd moved more and fought his fight and won the fight rather easily. Mayweather has not been seriously hurt from a punch just slightly buzzed against Corley which I think everyone makes too big of a deal about because it was nothing really. I don't think Oscar would win that easy but I think everyone is underestimating Floyd big time. xoalvinox 11-26-2004, 05:19 PM This would be another boring 12 round ballet dance ending with a controversial decision. Oscar is the king of ballet dancing...its happened on numerous occasions. aztec13 12-12-2004, 02:58 PM de la hoya wins at both weight classes(135-140). but this fight can still happen at 147 if what people are saying is true and dlh moves down in weight. now that makes for a good fight but i would have to go with PBF at 147 cause i think it would kill DLH to make 147. sssse 12-12-2004, 09:18 PM Mayweather by UD jgisbc 02-12-2006, 11:41 AM mayweather would get to oscar all nigth and knock him around but not out. pbf is ud. vBulletin® v3.7.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
