View Full Version : How Great Were The Verve Last Night? Sane Man 06-30-2008, 10:25 AM ****ing brilliant. Best headline act at Glastonbury this year, easy. beecherhq 06-30-2008, 01:16 PM i'm allergic to richard ashcroft Nicky_Hatton 06-30-2008, 01:57 PM Bollocks totally missed it. Noel Gallagher was right though, mentioning him would make the first five minutes of Jay Z's set interesting. Other than that, what a load of bollocks. Don Gorgon 06-30-2008, 02:56 PM only caught some of it. Space & Time, Lucky Man & Bittersweet Symphony Anybody got a set list? Spambo boy 06-30-2008, 02:58 PM Kings were amazing, didn't see the verve though. Might have to check it out. Hitman932 06-30-2008, 03:00 PM the only song by the verve that i like is "Sonnet" they are an average band msagrain 06-30-2008, 03:00 PM They were reallly good. :D I always thing the lead singer looks a lot like Ian Brown. Nicky_Hatton 06-30-2008, 05:10 PM the only song by the verve that i like is "Sonnet" they are an average band They're not the best band ever, and I'd probably agree with the average band comment, but you cant say sonnet is the only song you like. The Drugs don't work is beautiful slice of melancholy, and Bittersweet Sympathy is a brit pop classic. Infact I'm going to whack urban hymns on now, and bowl it down town disregarding any obstacles. Spambo boy 06-30-2008, 05:23 PM the only song by the verve that i like is "Sonnet" they are an average band Tit.:haha: Nicky_Hatton 06-30-2008, 05:28 PM Tit.:haha: I kinda agreed, I mean they aint brilliant, but 90's >00's so they're better than most bands around today bar the kings and the strokes. Chunk. 06-30-2008, 05:39 PM Richard Ashcroft's voice is shot! |
