I was in Asda today ( Buying smart price vodka and an icepop ) and i swear like 80% of the workers, Had downs syndrome, I don't know if they are just doing it to make the company look good, But i thought it was ace you could tell how proud of themselves they were that they had jobs.

Its alarming at first, To see that many disabled workers, But they were helpful and got on with it just as good as anybody.

What do you think about the disabled being employed, Do you have anything against it? I think its great as long as they can actually do the job ... I don't see why anybody would have a problem with it but some people do, A lot of people were staring and stuff.

Now joking aside I think it's great that people with a disability can get a job, if they can do the tasks as any other abled body can then I don't see why not. Just sickening when these people who have had hardship all their life still want the willingness to get a job, yet you see so many scummers who are in perfect condition to work claming benefits and living off the state!

My mum's got MS which has got progressively worse over the years. She used to work as a teacher, and could get on with the job fine, in fact her results were better than most of the other teachers in the school. Then a new head came in who took an instant disliking to the fact that he had a disabled teacher working there. He began to monitor her, watching her lessons, talking to her like ****, basically making her feel less and less comfortable being there. Eventually she couldnt take it any more and left. She has got a lot worse since leaving, basically I believe because she has nothing to do now. I ****ing hate that prick, but because he did everything inside the law he has gotten away with basically forcing her out. This kind of thing happens all the time, I think, and should be stopped.

Unfortunately not, Your mum was the manager and said working together would damage our relationship.

I would of went into his office and beat him bad honestly, that is ****ing disgraceful behaviour on his part

I think its great. The school I work at has quite a few kids with things like Autism and Asbergers Syndrome and all sorts of learning difficulties - in essence - one or two kids a bit like forrest gump...or rain man...

It's dead cool. They're well in with the other kids and far better they've been integrated with teh others...

I think its mint that they've got a place and a chance work. Work is, after all - a large part of your quality of life.

In fact Downs mongo's could well be great Fighters.
I remember a guy who ended up a pro Rugby player getting crushed and laid out by Mongo Power in the last year of school.
This mongo kid was cool but this "jock" kept taking the piss.
It was so funny when Mongo power destroyed him in front of EVERYONE.
