anticipating this album like a kid anticipating the arrival of santa claus.

Lets see if Nas can do better then Wayne this time around. He wasn't even talked about in the BET Music Awards.

Nas doesn't rap for BET. What was the last single Nas made for the club? He won't outsell Wayne period. But it's not like sales determine whose album is better.

I agree.
It's the album that has longer lasting value.

You're right it doesn't determine, but what ppl think is good does. If they think its good enough they'd buy. We'll see.

Not really. That's all out publicity and promotion. Wayne did an entire 1-2 years of promotion strictly through guest appearances. Poeple knew when his album was coming out. Nas doesn't get on all of these new remixes. He's mostly under the radar and you only see him when his album drops.

He'll sell around 700-800k. And probably drop off the charts. Don't matter I'm still buying it.

how many fans an artist has is not indicative of the quality of their music.

BET matters to...........who? Nas' catalog > Wayne's catalog. I base that thought on quality/impact/importance of content, not record sales.

We'll see, now why is Nas not out there....... Because no one wants him on? Or because he choose to not see some spotlight? That's the question.

When someone sooooooo "Legendary" like a lot of you guys make him out to be, he should sell at least 3 million, just based on his name. Which I will admit, is big.

Wayne has impacted the Rap scene, if you can't see that you're blind and deaf. Wayne was big even before he dropped his album.

Also your base can and probably is different from a lot of ppl. I'm sure there are hundreds of other ppl on other sites that would argue for days with your statement on what its based.

I've never said that Wayne hasn't "impacted the rap scene". He certainly has, and I've enjoyed some of his work. I just happen to think he's obscenely overrated, and I also think he would try harder to live up to this laughable amount of hype if he could focus. Carter 3 is ok, nothing special imo. I really like "A milli" , even though I see a lot of hate for that song, but the album didn't come close to living up to the quality of a release by someone called by many, as well as himself, the greatest rapper alive.

Legendary status does not require massive record sales. I like to analyze the songs on the album before and with no regard to, how many times his video is on BET, or how many records he sold.

I'll bet Pharoahe Monch's album last year didn't sell more than 100,000 copies, but if you listen to the album, and like it, that's all that matters. And that is one good ****ing album, no matter who likes it, and who doesn't.

No, that's not really true at all. I'm sure you know this. Who are your favorite rappers besides Wayne? The ones that you feel are legends? See if they sold at least 3 million. They more than likely have never approached those numbers. It doesn't make them any less of legends or denies their impact/influence on other artists. Greatness isn't based on sales. I didn't think Biggie was dope because he pushed platinum. I thought he was dope because he had a classic album.

I'm not a Wayne hater I bought the album. I like his music.
