They beat a second string Turkish side who played well, but were unable to convert their chances into goals.

Germany always had the better team, though not on the night admittedly. They finished the game off with quality, something they had under their sleeves all along, which Turkish team lacked.

In doing so they've reached their 6th European Championship final, which takes a lot more than just "luck" to accomplish. :)
