I see words like wack and garbage being thrown toward 50. But is he really that bad to you guys? Most of his work before he blew up was raw and you could hear his hunger. Get Rich was a really good album and personal favorite. Other than the singles The Massacre had some bangers on it.

Now Curtis was not that good of an album. It had no direction IMO. The recent mixtapes have been good to me. So is he wack? Or you just don't like him? Or is it a combination of the two?

As his money grows...his skill dies...Thank the fans.

If Rakim had 50s $$$ do you really think he would be rap at his peak? Think about it.

you put 50 and rakim in the same sentence. :nonono: your opinion on the matter is null and void, son.

yeah, didn't you insinuate that if rakim was making 50 type cheese, he wouldn't be as good.

as if curtis were ever near rakim in terms of skill.

am i off?

No I wasn't making a skill comparison if that's what you took from it. This is what I meant: Imo Get Rich Die Trying was the ****, still is. I liked 50s music then...I've always liked Rakim's music. I'm saying when you like a rapper and you notice that as their money grows they lower their own standards of skill.

i like 50.... in my opinion he makes good music... the only problem i have is he went after ja for singing and now he does it...

i dont mind the singing... if its a good song its a good song... just the fact that its hypocritical on his part for goin at someone for something, and then doing it yourself...

As for being on change of heart, yeah he was on there i seen it. Ive also seen interviews from game reguarding this and he isnt ashamed of it at all. He was only being himself, i dont got a problem with that. Look at Tookie... hardest mother ****er that was out dude basically started the crips... and here he is dancing his ass off on some game show. Stop questioning gangster.

he recycles his own rhymes, has no ambition to do anything other than what he thinks will make him the most money. That kind of **** bores me. It will bore his fans sooner or later as well. Then, he'll either have to put out some quality material to get attention again, or he'll stop making music.

Yes I think he's wack. His quality of music isn't what it was.

Personally i don't even consider him a rapper, he is a "Hip Hop figure".

On the comment about Rakim made earlier, i think what you have to consider is that wealth is relative. What can potentially change people is when they are wealthy in their own mind. So in the late 80's and early 90's Rakim was wealthy, because he was wealthy by the standards of hip hop at the time, and in his own mind. It dosen't matter if he wasn't as wealthy as 50 Cent is now, 50 cent isn't wealthy at all compared to many CEOs. Who decides what's wealthy? What matters is whether or not you are wealthy in your own mind, by the standards of your situation and Rakim was.

That said, i don't think he sold out, I think he was born wack.

His lyricism on GRODT was never really up to par anyway. The production was just top notch.

50 was a gimic.. After we grew tired of his gimic we let him go...

He was never truly a talented M.C., I don't know why he got all the respect in the 1st place..

I haven't cared for anything he's done since his blow-up album except for the Outta Control Remix. I've said it before on these boards but he should have called "The Massacre", "Got Rich and Quit Tryin"

Only song on Curtis that was okay was Ayo Technology and it would have been better WITHOUT 50's vocals...

Yeah, and now that he's ****y and thinks that he doesn't need a name producer, he doesn't even have that going for him on most of his tracks. I read an interview with him where he said he sells records, not the producers - he won't look at the name on the beats when he listens to him. he overrates his vocal talent and lyrical ability. He's pretty much a one-trick pony that needs a certain production to make his vocal content and style not sound irritating
