RonRoss 06-22-2008, 05:25 PM You don't look bad at all, Kept your hands up and got some good work in, Even out of shape your hand speed wasn't bad.
But i will tell you one thing, What Shawn does isn't completely useless, Slow sparring can help with good form, Foot work and upper body movement mostly ... We just need to see the guy get stuck in then maybe he wouldn't catch so much ****.

yea Im always hard on myself and trying to push myself towards great sparring partners that have advantages like height experience and speed so I can benefit from it when I get back in fighting weight. Thanks for checking it out:headbang:
!! Shawn 06-22-2008, 06:02 PM I liked your right hand counter you had going over the top, and the hybrid uppercut jab, but you need to work on your balance when you throw those. You would throw them, and stumble off balance.
I would absolutely kill for a ring that big to work in, lol.
On the double end, you ned to get that back moving. Every time you get it moving you just wait for it to slow down before you try and hit it again.
Its not about looking good, its about getting down your timing. Throw some hooks, uppercuts, hook of the jab, everything, but most importantly, keep that bag moving. Don't be scared to miss.
RonRoss 06-22-2008, 06:09 PM On the double end bag, Get used to the jab first before you mix up punches, Watch this video.

Trrmo 06-22-2008, 06:13 PM Good work, nice moving, got some good quick counters in. Main obvious thing I noticed is you had you body fairly square to the opponent making yourself a bigger target, try and turn more side on. For me I would prefer to see you keep your left up more although you swayed away from the punches well.

wow your right man! I do fall off balance alot when im sparring taller guys. The ring we have I think is the biggest one Ringside makes. Ill keep you guys updated on everything. Sorry for being negative towards your sparring vids shawn

Yea I know how it feels man. I wish I could afford a nutrionist or a S&C coach so I can find out exactly whats wrong or whats going on with me. I swear I havent had a single cheat food or fast food in 11 weeks and I work hard and push myself. I dont eat after 8:30. Id love to be back at my normal weight.

are you doing alot of running?
Actus Reus 21 06-23-2008, 12:56 AM are you doing alot of running?
4 days a week 3-5 miles
Rafael Benitez 06-23-2008, 02:10 AM You look a bit like a rabbit caught in headlights when there is incoming traffic. Do more defensive drills and practice more head movement. You will be OK if you practice and spar more. It will come with experience, and then you won't be like the rabbit again. I would advise you to look at the fists a bit more. Good luck blood.
Actus Reus 21 06-24-2008, 01:41 AM bump anyother advice?
Rafael Benitez 06-24-2008, 02:27 AM bump anyother advice?Eat alot of fruit and train everyday. Do 1000 press ups after an hour in gym,Mon-Fri. On the knuckles too. Then you'll see how your punch output goes. Pro standards right there and all you need to know.
Landon S 06-24-2008, 02:32 AM Not bad, how long have you been sparring? You keep getting off balance (do I hear an echo?) and I think you could be more aggressive but you look pretty good. Your better than I am I think lol
Rafael Benitez 06-24-2008, 02:40 AM You're doing the right thing by going to a gym to learn instead of being a kitchen/garage warrior like some other dicks. even worse you could have become a megalomaniac like shawn, who think she can pull off Prince Naz moves minus punching technique. Train harder, run every morning, and you will be OK.

I don't know your current diet, but based upon what you've said in this thread I think that a cheat day would be a good thing. If done correctly they can help you lose weight.

1-2 what a week? Cheat days? How many did you think I was suggesting?
I think you should keep your alt account trolling to NSB. Doing it in this section may result in your ignorance spreading to others.

Bro, I'm in the exact same position. I fought in Novemeber at 141 and since then have tried EVERYTHING I possibly could but the weight hasn't gone anywehre and I really haven't grown....I'm 18, I weight 150-153 now but it just won't come off. Like you I haven't had fast food since.......probably March. It's very discouraging.

I agree its very frustrating and im thinking about taking a month off to see how I feel, since ive been training hard and staying in the gym so much(6 days out of the week). Im tired of working hard and not seeing results.:damnit1:

Stop eating bread, stop eating salt, drink water if you're thirsty. Weight isn't really something that sticks to you for no reason. There should be a reason it's staying, you just have to find it and work to fix it.

d_lyrik803 06-27-2008, 02:38 AM pretty good sparring session. you have to maintain a good diet, eat often, exercise, and rest. its been working for me but everyone's body is different, you have to experiment. the way i see it is that just keep doing what you're doing and you'll see results, you seem to be in a good direction, (that is of course you are true to your word).
