It's an ocelot. I'm gonna buy one of these(savannah cat) in aug.

will it run away?

Bluecifer

No. They are domsectic, will use the litterbox and everything. They eat cat food and require no special permit. Typical weight is 18-29 lbs. They are a hybrid with african serval, asian leopard cat, and egypetian mau lineage. In some instances they have a bit of geffries cat, which is a small wildcat from South America.

well whatever it is, they are damn beautiful animals.

However, I would give my left nut to have a Gray Wolf as a pet..well maybe not.

Some do. Pet Bangle cats can be found for between $400-$600, breeders for $1000-$2000 and the 50% Serval Hybrids or Safari cats of breeding quality can cost as much a $5000-$10,000.

Do they attack on command?

Bluecifer

No, but you could probably set the stage by putting amphetamines in there cat chow.

I've been checking the websites and am going to a breeder here in Oregon the weekend after next. I'm naturally a dog person, but my work schedule won't let me have a dog for a while and I love all animals so Bangle cat it is. Not sure I want to drop the dough on a Savannah just yet, but I probably will eventually. Breeding exotic animals seems fun.
