I'm considering whether or not I should vote in the upcoming presidential election. I have always felt very disillusioned about the entire political process because basically it all seems to boil down to whether you want to believe Guy A or Guy B.
Kerry says that everything Bush does is wrong and everything he does is right. Bush says the same thing about Kerry. It's just like religion. It seems impossible to know who is right, (especially because neither of them is 100% correct), and you just have to choose who you like. The problem is that politicians are allowed to say anything they want and they can spin facts and figures anyway they want. The right to vote has been raped.
Let me also just say that I'm only 19 and there are alot of things I don't know, so if anyone disagrees with all of this then that's fine. Just tell me what you think and why. Thanks.
