Since most people feel Sturm deserves another shot after giving De la Hoya a scare, Hopkins could vacate the WBO belt and have Trinidad fight Sturm on the same night as Hopkins makes his 20th defense. That way Hopkins could seal up his 20 defenses with no obligations or anyone saying he ducked them. Sturm could at least get the chance to win back what was his. And Trinidad could get a chance to show he's better than De la Hoya, which I'm not sure of. For Hopkins, that matchup would produce a great optional fight, depending on how he looks against Eastman. Either Sturm could make a claim to having beaten Trinidad and De la Hoya, which would make him a great opponent for Hopkins, or Trinidad wins back a little credibility to set up a rematch.

My questions for you guys: Would Trinidad give Sturm a fight if it was for a belt? Who would win?

beating sturm wouldnt prove Tito is better than Oscar, he is not. However your idea is brilliant.

Sometimes I think you are not a real Trinidad fan.

Tito would clobber Oscar at 160, no doubt in my mind. Since Oscar started training with FM Sr. he's been less of a boxer. He won't be able to box Tito like he did at welter. I'd pick Tito by KO over Oscar in 8.

As for Tito - Sturm, I'd pick Tito by TKO in 10. Sturm and Tito are the same hight so there would be no advantage there as far as Sturm is concerned. Tito's power would prove the difference. Also, Tito has much more stamina than DLH and would be relentless against a stand-there fighter like Sturm. You have to move against Tito and that is something Sturm doesn't do.

Sturm could do a better fight against Tito than DLH...DLH cann't fight Tito at middle...
