Amateur mixed martial arts competition returns to New York City on Sunday, August 10th with the premiere of NY Underground Fighting at the Jerome Boxing Gym in the Bronx - and with it comes all the excitement you'd expect from clashing combat athletes!

Stepping into the ring to continue his string of action-packed bouts, welterweight Jeet Kune Do fighter Christian Montes will face Team Renzo Gracie purple belt Andrew Callandrelli in a classic match-up of striker against grappler. Making his mixed martial arts debut at NY Underground Fighting, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu stud Justin Garcia will square off against wrestler Lance Visone, while Team Endgame's Terrence Shourts will test his skills against Lance's "kid brother" Evan Visone - a collegiate wrestler himself. Also on the card: Jiu-jitsu brown belt Rob Kahn, Team Endgame's Thomas Velasquez, Kioto Jiu-jitsu's Chris Scanlon, and a thrilling four-man heavyweight tournament!

"No fanfare, just fighting" is the NY Underground Fighting motto, so be ready for some action!

The Date: Sunday, August 10th. The time: Doors Open at 6pm, First Fight at 7pm. The Place: Jerome Boxing Gym, 436 Westchester Ave, Bronx, NY - one block from the 3rd Ave-149th St. stop on the 2/5 train. All tickets $25, available at the door.
