Actually MMA fighters usually make more at the start of their careers. Especially once you factor in the win bonuses, which usually double what the fighter makes.

But once their respective careers get going, the boxers easily make more.

So do you mean at the beginning of a pro career? because amateur boxers dont get paid at all I dont think.

What about those guys like Rampage and Chick Lidell..They'll be loaded wont they? Surely they get more money than most boxers.

Is that how much they get per FIGHT? Or per YEAR?

Must be per fight?

Amateurs do not get paid at all in MMA and boxing.

Top-level guys like Liddell and Rampage do not make near what a top-level boxer makes. It's not uncommon for undercard boxers to make more than what Main Event MMA guys make.

What WiganScott posted is per fight.

What WiganScott posted is per fight.

keep in mind, they're probably walking away with less than half of that after taxes, management, and medical.

What i posted was for that event, so per fight. What they get can depend on the ppv buy, or atleast the bonuses do. As stated above they have to pay some fees and taxes from this, but they make money from spondorship too, so that might help cover that.

Then there is the 4/5 50k bonuses for the best fight, knockout etc.

Take into acount fighter might have anywhere from 3-6 fights a year and some of them might not be doing to badly.

No doubt they are a mile behind boxing, however i'm sure salaries will continue to rise as the sport becomes more and more mainstream/popular.

Medical insurance is covered by the organization.

Ever think they will make as much as boxers?

Ever think they will make as much as boxers?

Not as long as the organizations (UFC, IFL, Elite, etc) get fighters under exclusive multi-fight contracts.

Back in the day Hollywood studios would sign actors and actresses to exclusive multi-movie contracts. Even after adjusting for inflation, what they made back then was nothing compared to what they make now.
