View Full Version : GTA4 is not as good as i thought it would be.
msagrain 06-09-2008, 01:24 PM It is a bit over rated. When i had GTA 3 it was amazing...... it was revolutionary how you could roam around a big map that had never been do before. GTA vice city added the ability to fly and a much better story line. GTA SA was the best in the series and was the best of both of them. Now GTA 4 is just better graphics and adds nothing major to the game. Yes you can use the taxis but you could do that in vice city when you failed a mission and you also had phonecalls too in vice city too. I'm a bit disappointed with it to be honest. I could play gta SA or vice city for hours but i'v just finished GTA 4 and i'm not interested.

They took the planes and jet packs out to make it " Realistic " ... But thats not what GTA is all about, GTA is fun cause you can do out of this world things that just wouldn't happen, But you wish it could and thats why you play, Not much on GTA 4 is out of this world ...

Gta3 was revolutionary because it was the first 3D game in the series and the first time you can virtually do anything in the series. GTA Vice City IMO was the only game of which I couldn't put down. Beautiful graphics especially with the old Miami look (many details and ideas based the movie Scarface). BTW, you couldn't ride around in taxis like in GTA 4
Don Corleone 06-09-2008, 05:22 PM Also you couldn't even use your cell phone in Vice City. It was there just to receive calls but you couldn't actually use it like you can do in GTA4. Overall GTA4 is the best looking game graphically, best gameplay and overall more features and things to do. But I will admit that I can't bring myself to play it constantly like I did with Vice City or San Andreas. Great game overall and the best in the series and most interesting but not necessarily the most exciting. But you have to know that when Vice City and San Andreas came out we didn't know what to expect but with GTA 4, we all knew the setting would be different, we all knew the graphics would be good, we all knew that there would be online multiplayer, and still they surprised the world when they added features never seen. I don't know what else they could've done to make it better other then re-introduce previous features that they took out

I understand but your statements that the taxi takes you back is correct but that's all you can do. You can't ride around in it. You can't whistle to let the taxi know you want to get in so basically, that feature isn't even close to GTA4 feature of the taxi. Not to mention that there's no restrictions as to where you want to go in the taxi whereas is in Vice City, its strictly for retrying a mission again

The planes was taken out because of the setting being similar to New York, the car customization was taken out because New Yorkers don't customize their cars like in L.A. (San Andreas) everything else is true but I got to tell you. Even if they left the planes and car customization , it would be better and more exciting because that was the best part of San Andreas

My GF bought me it yesterday but i've not played on it yet. Hope it's good.

damn you're a hardcore gta 4 fan boy.:lol1: :ugh: look i gave the game a 10/10 and its already a favorite of mine, but that doesnt mean that i cant find flaws in it. its kinda like san andreas, loved the game but like rizoom said(I hated being that ghetto *****.)

Nothing makes me fell better than getting a head shot with the pistol. Since I've been using the AK-47 my accuracy has gone down to 64% :nonono:

the 9mm even the m4 are more accurate but the ak suits niko much better imo.

What is your best ever shot? Mine was when I was doing a collect mission for Brucie an the guy tried to escape on the bike. So I pulled out my pistol and shot him in the head. He came flying off the bike and got run over by a taxi. :lol1:

i shot that guy preaching in south bohan in the head while i was inside a car. shooting at enemies inside a car is really difficult for me so hitting that loud preacher with one shot in the head was kind of an accomplishment. :o
