My thoughts exactly. And I couldn't even finish reading it. It was pathetic.

Bas is the man he deserves every ounce of respect cuz everything he said was true but ur hate for Kimbo blinds u too. He sed the fight shoulda been stopped in the second, he sed kimbo was gassed, and its true, working magic in the gym doesnt translate it in the ring, hell boxingscene just did an article about Daniel Ponce De Leon and how he looks great in the gym but not in the ring, much respect to Bas who in his 40s would still break us in half

Kimbo is a straight up bum, he will never amount to anything in MMA...His fight last weekend was a joke, he got his ass kicked by some tomato can.

Referees are supposed to stop a fight when "a fighter cannot intelligently defend himself". Not when "a fighter cannot intelligently defend himself from big shots."

While even I agree Kimbo was not really in danger of suffering big damage, he was not doing ANYTHING to defend himself. So it is a valid question as to whether it could/should have been stopped.

For the record I think the ref made the right call letting it go on.

So you don't read the article but have an opinion on it? I know people like you, they give their two cents but don't bother going over the facts.

Bas Rutten was extremely honest in his fight analogy. He said the fight should have been stopped and that anxiety played in why Kimbo seemed gassed. He was honest and forthcoming about everything in that fight and still said he wasn't dissapointed with Kimbo overall.

Every fight is different and this will be a learning experience for Kimbo. I don't see Kimbo getting very far either but I give the guy all the credit in the world.

He did give his guy the benefit of some doubts maybe he didn't deserve though. He realizes Kimbo can help pad his wallet now with some of the money he should have earned back in the day before his sport was so mainstream. And he used the whole inexperience excuse, which Kimbo folks have been downplaying by saying "he's training with Bas"...

I don't see why you people have a problem with Bas. lol

I mean isn't it customary for a trainer to defend his fighter? In a related story remember when Warren Sapp totally leveled Chad Cliffton and almost killed him with that cheap shot? I remember John Gruden saying "It was a perfectly legal play"

Does that make him a scumbag because he'll defend his guy blindly? No.

Yea but you have to admit that for a guy in his corner, he told it pretty much like it is. They also had Bas on the Dan Lebatard show here in Miami on the radio and he basically said the same things.

Bas knows what time is is when it comes to Kimbo, he understands he has a long way to go. The reality is, he is a physical freak and can be pretty decent if given the time. He's only had 3 fights and prior to a year ago didn't know what MMA was.
