Keep an eye out for Russia's Andrei Arshavin. I like the look of him a lot.

Oh didn't know about that. That will be a huge blow for Russia. If Nasri plays for France he'll light up the tournement too.

Benzema doesn't look like he'll be starting for France but i understand how some of you guys are picking him. I think it'll be the world cup before he is a regular.

Im going with Quersma of Portugal. I think the portugeezers are lifting this trophy.

His form over the past season has been quite outstanding. There is talk of £30m and £40m moves to Italy and spain.

good call, if he puts on a good show it'll certainly add to his value.

I think Ballack will star as it may well be his last Euro tournament with Germany

Ballack without doubt is a big game player but this german team right now is fairly average IMO. They'll be lucky to make it out the froups. Kraut bastards. LOL!

There is no way he is worth £30-40m mate. The papers reckon hes is linked with Liverpool for about £16m, even that is probably exaggerated.

Ronaldo is the finished product.
Don't get me wrong, Quaresma is technically brilliant
He scores great goals, tonnes of assists
But he's hardly playing in the strongest league..
Is Simao in the Portugal team?

That was last season those specualtions bro. I read in the news of the screws (not a great source, i know) that Juve are going to be offering £30m and Real Madrid were linked with a bid that was £30m+ if Ronaldo falls through.

Some good shouts there, Veloso isn't very well known but I'll be surprised if he isn't at one of Europe's top clubs in the next few years.

Simao will most likely be sub.

Front 3 will be Ronaldo and Quersma just behind Postiga.

Adrian Mutu, look out for him.

lol there is also Nuno Gomes and this lad called Almeida who has looked decent on the few occasions ive seen him.

TBH, i wouldn't rule out playing with Ronaldo as the lone frontman and have Nani and Quaresma supporting on either wing.

Ronaldo sucks alone upfront, didn't you see that vs. Barcelona?
Personally I think these dudes will shine.

-Casillas
-Ribery
-Barzagli
-Benzema
-VDV

Some of those HAVE to prove themselves, because its now or never.

OT: does anyone else realize this might be the first decade since the 60's that the germans haven't won anything? I could see them being very dangerous this tourney, especially since Ballack has never won a major title...ever.

Yeah but its kinda like Man utd's. Its a 4-5-1 when there on the back foot but when there going forward the wingers drift just in behind the front man.

Its a versatile formation.

Hey, Postiga is a much different player these days from the guy who left Spurs.

He holds at up well and his movement is very good.

He's ideal for the way the portugeezers play.

fair to say he is a not gonna be one of the best strikers on show at 2008 though
