What are some recent books you read? What are some good interesting books?
Last book i read was, Evolution: NHB or something , i have it at my house.
Bluecifer 07-18-2003, 02:07 PM Right now I'm reading "Why people believe wierd things" by Michael Shermer. Good ****. I would highly recommend the Truth Machine and the First Immortal written by the futurist James Halperin.
The Mouse 07-18-2003, 02:09 PM Mortal Prey.
Whoremaster B 07-18-2003, 02:16 PM Right now Im reading book four of the Dune Chronicles.
Its very Sci Fi. I understand why somebody could have no interest in it. I like it though.
My next book is going to be. If Chins Could Kill: confessions of a B actor by Bruce Cambell
Squezze 07-18-2003, 02:24 PM I'm currently re-reading Dreamcatcher by Stephen King.
Carlao 07-18-2003, 02:47 PM I'm always reading the last 3 books that I got to were: Rich Dad, Poor Dad. The Art of War (I've gone over this book several times) and I have a book with a lot of short stories adn poems that I've had from an Literature class in college that I always read from.
Any good financial, mortgage, economy, or life addapting books that you guys have read?
Leather 07-18-2003, 02:54 PM My last book was "Elegías Romanas" by Goethe...
Has somebody read "Natural Born Fighters"?...
Whoremaster B 07-18-2003, 03:02 PM The art of war was the smallest book, but longest read ever for me.
I wanted everything in it to sink into the brain. That book is about much more than war. It gives a whole new way of thinking, with vast solutions to lifes everyday problems.
Detective Mosely 07-18-2003, 03:04 PM im on the second book of the dark tower series... y'know... the gunslinger... stephen king kinda fantasy thing.
its damn good. hell ass good. im way behind the rest of the world, because everyone i know has told me to read these books, but i finally found them for 25 cents apiece at a yard sale with a bunch of vonnegut and king. yeah, it was pretty great.
i read 'One flew over the cuckcoo's nest' before i started that series... maybe the most recent Wheel of Time book before that, but now im just letting my nerdiness show... :)
Whoremaster B 07-18-2003, 03:06 PM good call detective. Nice AV. Im a big fan of Constantine.
Carlao 07-18-2003, 03:09 PM Whoremaster B you might have a condenced version of The Art of War. I've read this book over 8 times and I make a point of reading it once a year, and still have not captured all of it.
The shortes book I've read lately but great is the Richest Man in Babilon
