View Full Version : Should Cristiano Ronaldo join Real Madrid?

If he wants to move to Spain I say "yes" and Alex Ferguson's comments about letting him rot on the sidelines rather than selling him makes it even clearer for me.

The irony of Alex Ferguson is hilarious!. He said "he wont let a big club boss them into selling their players". What the **** does he thinks he has been doing? To be honest, I'm not really sure Ronaldo is even worth £70m anyway. Ferguson would be stupid not to sell him.

Ronaldo has nothing else to achieve in the Premier League but Man Utd are the better team. Real Madrid are nothing special imo, can't even make it past the knockout stages of the Champions League. Man Utd should do everything to keep Ronaldo, after all he's their best player.

If he wants to go I don't see what they can do to stop him, apart from stick him in the reserves. Then what would that prove?

**** no he shouldn't... I hate Real Madrid.
They're all about getting big names that can't play together.

**** Madrid, **** Valencia, **** Barcelona... **** all Spanish teams.

I'm against stopping a player to leave their club, if he wants to go let him, Real are offering a **** load of money so I would take while the offer is still there. If Real are reportedly offering at least £70m (which I doubt) that's more than enough to replace Ronaldo plus get another winger or striker, good ones too.

I'm pretty certain he wants to leave the club for Real Madrid, he is always talking about playing in Spain "It's my dream" he says. At £70m I don't see why Ferguson wouldn't sell him, he would be crazy not to.

£40m and players swap would be a great move for United. Don't know why they want to keep him so bad or why Real want him so bad.

Ronaldo has proved himself in the EPL. I hope went he does to La Liga he proves himself to. He is a great player. Rooney bahahahahaahah. How dare you compare him to Ronaldo over priced English hack.

He would be the biggest idiot in the world to leave Man U and join Real. Man U are on the verge of something big and could go onto win the league for another few seasons and win the champs league again next season. If he does go Sir Alex will find another gem and turn him into the next big thing.

not if u have no medals to show for it at the end of your career it aint

that shower of **** Real Madrid aint gonna be a dominent force again untill they realise that snapping the best players does not make u the best TEAM

each side should have 3 superstars maximum then the rest of the side should be built around those players u cant have to many focal points [superstars]cause they all want u to play to thier strengths and as a result of that the team becomes very fragmented

If he wants to leave then let him go, he will regret it. No player is bigger than the club, and that applies to every club in my opinion (apart from Shearer at Newcastle). If we get stupid figures that have been quoted like 100 million, then sell him. I think Nani will be just as good as him in 2 or 3 seasons anyway. Plus than we can buy Benzema and a couple of other top class youngsters.

no im not but there is nothing ludicrous about what ive said about Real Madrid they may still have there celebrity status but they are are not a great side these days and have''nt been for quite a while

im an Arsenal fan & i dont give a damn wether he stays or not he will not be the difference between Arsenal succeeding or not succeeding that will be down to the Arsenal players & the manager ,however from his a neutrals point of view it dont make sense

If he succeeds at Real Madrid he will make an even bigger name for himself. Look at van Nistelrooy nobody thought he would do even better than he did at Man Utd, but he did and is doing.

but Man United already got good strikers

I think they need a winger so probably the dutch guy is a good replacement. Van Fart or something like that

I think he should go to Real Madrid say a season or two after Sir Alex retires.

He's still young, and let's be honest Madrid is hardly a life time club is it?

thats a big if i can name some very good players that Real Have ruined

BTW if Robhino is all he is cracked upto be then why are Real Madrid whoreing him out to Chelsea and Man Utd ,he is talented but still lightweight and he does not have the mental strength of a top player like Ronaldo yet

When have the whored out Robinho? in 2005 Chealsea and Arsenal were in talks with him, but their bids were rejected because Real weren't interested in selling him. There is no info about Robinho being part of the Ronaldo deal either, someone just brought up his name.

well there is a big rumour that Chelsea are trying to buy him & if Ronaldo does go i reckon Robinho will go the other way to either Man Utd or Chelsea

Real cannot afford to splash that kinda a money without recouping some i dont care how much money they have got ,they will more than likely be looking to add more players to thier squad aswell so i dare say they wil be looking to have a little cash left over

the only mass exodus is happening at Newcastle LOL

True. ****ing shambles when you compare it to Utd & Arsenal. If it were me I'd choose Barca over Madrid everytime.

It doesn't matter if it's 70 mil or 70 bil. He can't be replaced cos there is no better than him in the world. I don't care if you tell me how many players you could get for 70 mil, it don't matter cos Man Utd are already amazing. They can't get a much better squad without ****ing up the harmony. Ronaldo is integral to Man Utd, more than Cantona, Keane, Giggs, Beckham, anyone. Even Best.

I hate Man U, but I speak the unfortunate truth.

Beckham, yes.

Giggs? Debatable.

Without Ronaldo Man Utd would have won nothing this year. keane didn't even play in Man Utd;s champs league final.

And I'm not saying he is BETTER than Best (even tho he will be one day, and is close even now), just that he is that important to the team. And in terms of goals and assists he outstrips Keane and Best anyway.
