To be honest, I wish that more men would fight like these two women did tonight. I think tonight's fight proved a lot of male egos wrong when it comes to either gender being tough as nails. Both came out extremely professional and not to mention, they are both very WELL SPOKEN. Not the typical cavewoman/caveman tone which seems to be more and more common in MMA Post Fight interviews recently.

I truly hope that tonight opened a gateway for Female Mixed Martial Arts fighters, not to mention some solid role models for younger girls who maybe don't find themselves fitting into the typical "Female" role.

I didnt catch the fight but I loved the Lawler fight until the premature ending, I heard while the fight was good Carano didnt look her best

It was a good fight.

I'd say female fights tend to be more technical because their general lack of power.

I love Gina Carano, I was telling my homies yesterday she was going to win and they was like "yo ya bitch getting rocked", shit was funny cuz when I told them she only trained for 3 weeks for this fight they was like nah she gonna lose and just when they thought it was safe to talk shit BAM we see Gina running wild. on the real though Gina Carano is a good spokesperson for Women's MMA, she is tough as nails yet very pretty and she don't play no bullshit, she comes to fight.. 1

I thought her fight vs. Kedzie was better but this was a decent effort. Gina was a little out of shape and her opponent was the weakest of the 3 I've seen in EliteXC so far.

There is another female fighter in EliteXC named
Shayna Baszler who's no joke either, but she's in a different weight class

Pretty good fight - competitive with some really good action, fought at a fast pace.
Exactly what a MMA bout should be about.

women's mma seems to have a higher class of fighters than women's boxing from the 4 or so mma fights i have seen compared to the 6 or 8 female boxing fights i've seen.

I made that observation too. Women's boxing is usually sloppy and there seem to be less at the elite level. Admittedly I've seen some women boxing matches live that involved participants who never should have been given a license, but there are a limited number of top-level female boxers like Regina Halmich, Christy Martin, Laila Ali, etc. that ever end up on TV to watch too
