I will be downloading it tomorrow. I can't d/l from this slow ass computer. :(

All I gotta say is that this album better be nothing short of a classic.
Anytime you're already an established star and you take a three year break from releasing your own album....you better drop the hottest shit of the decade.
If it sucks, I will put him in a category of just being a good feature and good mixtape artist who can't make his own shit....and in this day in age, there really is no shame in that. Money talks. **** all that other shit.

Mr Carter, Tie My Hands and Misunderstood I think are the best track in the album, the rest are soso. Jay Z was sick in this. You can tell the difference in levels.

Thanks for the link.

Got Money is probably my favourite.

Like the 1st half of the album, quite a few of the tracks are total garbage though in the 2nd half.

I like "a milli", "dr. carter", "shoot me down", "3 peat", "mr. carter". the rest was average/garbage. The song with Babyface is ok.

"phone home" is one of the worst songs I've heard in a minute. same goes for "mrs. officer".

Potential squandered, Wayne should have paid more attention to making this album, and less time to making mixtapes and drinking cough syrup like a junkie.

I hope that isn't another way of saying commercial success determines how good an album is instead of your own ears.

I'm saying that if you're able to jam to the album long after you get used to it. It's a damn good album.

Well, I wouldn't burn it yet. I would burn it when it has been released to make sure that the leaked one has all tracks. Just to be sure. But, I am 90% sure this will be the retail version.

Wierd cos I just checked Amazon and they say Good Girl Gone Bad is on but Wiki says its not.

I dunno man. I'll keep a look out for that track if it excists.

True. I would wait if I was you. As it may not have all tracks. I have added the Amazon bonus tracks. It's not on there. But if ya selling and what else I would burn it, I am pretty sure it won't have any more songs.

I thought it was real dope. Wayne's lyrics were intense through out the album, I didnt really feel Phone Home or La La.. other then that it was a really solid album. Great production, and great verses through out by Wayne.

Because I know Rosewood is waiting for my review...

So far, I kind of like the one with Bobby Valentino, the one with Babyface and the one with Robin Thicke. Nothing that screams out "listen to me again" - and I don't like A Milli one bit...

I actually think I like Cash Money production with Wayne's voice and style better... I have a feeling I would have liked some of them that I did even if Wayne wasn't the one rapping over them.

I think I like rappers who command the song better. I respect that Wayne actually puts out lyrics over the rhythmic chanting genre that's out now, but I think if I'm producing his stuff, I go in a different direction to suit his voice.

I think the song that suits him best might be "Got Money", but why does Wayne have to sing on it instead of rapping?

This is comparable to "Curtis" in that there are some songs there that would have been hotter with a different rapper.

With the producers and guest vocalists he had on this album, there are a lot of "lesser" rappers who would have exceeded "The Carter 3"

I don't care for any of his "singing" tracks and I don't think this album furthers his case for "Best alive" or for even being a great lyricist.

I think the album start to finish is weaker than Carter 1,2 and the Like Father, Like Son album

I think the Robin Thicke song is the only one to make it to "2" on the number of plays on my itunes... And contrary to Rose and Vers's assertions, there are even some Wayne songs or songs featuring him that are in double digits...

all in all it was a pretty tight album, he was creative and original he worked on the lyrics well, as Jay said he is his heir and he'll just get better in the future, although in my opinion it didn't live up to the hype but doesn't mean he ain't the best rapper alive, it seemed like in this album he was experimenting a bit. 3.5/5

I think you have to be kidding.. Like Father, Like Son was better? I just re bought that but the only two serious records on that were Leather So Soft and Stuntin Like My Daddy.. the rest was weak... Carter 3 is dope. I think it supasses 1 and is comparable to 2 but not as good. Lyrically he is on point the entire record.

I won't even argue with weak, but it has some tracks that are more "re-listenable" than this third Carter album
