here is the deal with the green belt:

I dunno if you have ever been to the Coral Springs part of florida but everyone is a spoiled little ****. Everyone took TKD as a kid an everyone got a new belt ever couple months or so.

Because of this stupid people get fed up with not making visable progress "belts" and so they will quit BJJ.

To remedy this Edson threw in the green belt (which he said he got when he trained but i'm sure he got it because he was under 18 at that time) to keep people interested intraining during the long tranistion to blue belt.

its basically a 1/2 way marker i would assume.



the face looks happy because one of my training buddies (jeremy) was runnin mad game on the hottie announcer girl and as she was takin a picture he was grabbing her ass and she jumped so i started crackin up, then Alli took the pic.

Vulgar is correct about the green belt. traditionaly is only givento anyone under 16 before they get their blue, but given the attitudes around here most teachers do this to make it easier to accept that in BJJ it takes longer to get from belt to belt.

I figured the 16 thing had something to do with it, but it confused when I saw Vulgar and a few other older people had the green belts.
