Seems like we are overdue for a Heavyweight superstar to come on the scene. The time is ripe for some new badarse to clean out the division. The 60s/70s had Ali, the latter 70s/80s had Holmes, Late 80s/90s had Tyson, 90s and new millenium had Lewis and Holyfield cleaning up the scraps.

The next HW superstar is going to suffer from the Holmes Syndrome. Someone will come along in the next couple of years and wipe out what's left of the weak division and never have one big name in his prime to seal his legacy. Even if someone sprang up tomorrow and went through the Klit's, Toney, Ruiz, Byrd etc, he still wouldn't warrant much repsect, no matter if he was the second coming of Ali or Tyson.

It could be 10 years before we have a 'dominant' champ. HW boxing has gone downhill so much, it wouldn't surprise me if more light HWs and cruisers move up and become the top players. If Wayne Braithwaite moves up, he'd get my vote for having the best shot. Dimentrenko is not very imppressive-he's a less skilled, softer hitting version of Wlad. Ruslan Chagaev is the best Eastern prospect currently, and while I see him picking up at least a HW belt, he doesn't strike me as someone who'd be dominant.

Braithwaite needs to fight Kelvin Davis and Jean-Marc Mormeck at cruiser. I'd rather see him fight Tarver than go up to heavy.

But since then he has really punished a pretty good fighter in Michael Grant. He has done well for himself and stayed undefeated so far I believe, I like his chances at being something special in the division.

If Monte Barrett or Vassily Jirov were given the opportunity that other fighters have been given such as tua,Vitaly and Wladimar to showcase their talents against top ten opponent they could beat the majority of the so-called top fighers.

Thank you, VB Martin, I wasn't too sure about him being undefeated at present as I didn't look it up, and I didn't ask him. He remains someone who I hope to see do well for himself in the division, he really is a nice kid. He does have some skills...
