And chopper had to go as he was too big for the group.

Actually some of the American Idol artists - at least the winners tend to do quite well. Carrie Underwood and Kelli Clarkson are multi-platinum, Ruben and Fantasia sold well too. Jordin Sparks is all over the radio right now too.
