which do you think is better, and why

Both are great but PS3 has internet enabled which comes in handy when your computer breaks down like mine and its more reliable then the xbox 360

Well you get a Blu-ray player with a PS3 and online browsing. The online play of the PS3 is getting better but is not as good as the xbox360 which is very good at helping you hook up with friends.

PS3 is way way more reliable, I have literally bought 3 xboxes. The first 2 broke down a combined 8-9 times. 1 is totally out of commission and the other one works when she wants too.

The 360 is towards the end of Microsofts product life cycle.....meaning that the 360 has more years behind it than it does in front of it. The PS3 is younger and Sony has traditionally had much longer system model with even the PS2 still being viable.

The Xbox people talk **** about Blu-Ray right?

Then why the **** is Microsoft planning on making 360's with a Blu-Ray drive?
