lukeybg 05-22-2008, 03:03 PM ive been on these boards for a while now and i think your one talented boxer who seems to be destined for great things. You seem to have it all heart, style, and personality. Now i just wanted to as you a few questions just out of interest as your one of the most prominent posters on here
How old are you?
what weight class you fight at?
what height are you?
where you from?
what gym do you fight out of??
whats your amateur record?
do you intend to go pro?
what job you do apart from boxing?
Sorry if some of that seems private but its just a bit weird reading stuff of you coz it seems like i know you even though i dont if you get what i mean
Tuggers1986 05-22-2008, 03:05 PM I wish I had an E-admirer :nonono:
lukeybg 05-22-2008, 03:06 PM if you posted videos showing skills like his you might!! Hes well good!

Dam bro quit riding his dick. Da should be scared.
No offence to the cat but he is far from being a big prospect like a gamboa of the amateurs when he was. But he could go far.
RonRoss 05-22-2008, 03:56 PM if you posted videos showing skills like his you might!! Hes well good!
Da1 trains hard as **** but even he will tell you hes far from being a good fighter yet, A lot to work on ... Hes got his head in the right place though and im sure he will.
His record is something like 5 - 1 i think, Last time he said anyway.
Look up some videos of Versatile or Ricky Feroz ... Sick fighters.
Versy is just unlucky as **** :lol1:
DA1CATAS 05-22-2008, 04:36 PM What job do I have outside of boxing broke the mood for me...lol
Uhh... well im not the one to be looking at.. I might train harder than most but there are 2 fighters that i see as sorta more skilled than I...
VERS... just from his sparring vids... And Ricky Feroz... He's open class fighting 4 rounds already... I'm not even Open yet.. Not that i couldn't fight four rounds... jus saying a fact.
I have the training ethic down in my head but as far as proving it.. i only have 7 real (sanctioned) fights all together..with my first lost coming in florida.. Now if your admiring my training Then GREAT.. but as far as skill i haven't showed you much yet for the fact that i don't post my fights.. and the only one i posted was a 48 second mauling stoppage in the first round...
I talk a great game that probably brings my personality... on second thought Naa i just have Personality lol....but yea seriously...Maybe because I train hard that gives me the look of determination and heart(which i actually lack severely at times)...Style spawns mostly from my name.. People like destruction and when they see me, CATASTROPHE matches up easily..
I've created a perfect shell of information/vibe/background/look to become a great boxer, but i don't need/deserve any admiration yet..After my first fights at open maybe I'd feel better getting this... but yea im 6 foot, and i do wanna go pro at 160, right now im 165.
Thanks though... but yea im not at that level to be honest just not yet.
My vids are to do exactly this though... hype me.. Thats why i train the way i do.. its a form of creating motivation.. Now that you've done this I have to live up to the hype in the Sunshine State Games...
So in a way.. thank you very much.

hey its all in the mind though...
maybe I can only do 4000 or 3000 straight on the heavy back...
maybe only 2000 for that matter...
I'd be happy getting 1500.... To be honest...
But im very confident so i don't wanna get ahead and promise 5000 on tape.
I'll just say I'll be happy for 1500.

Don't ya think your **** at boxing then doing it for a year at 20 and your still not good enough for a fight?
McAlister 05-22-2008, 07:18 PM Lol....
Hard work pays off, so dont hate that sum cats admire what he's doin..

To be honest i needed a rest anyway... and i hardly take breaks so i guess i'll jus watch wed night fights on my dvr again...
oh yea.. then i'll watch the pistons even the series tonight.. 1-1.
aussieboxer2320 05-22-2008, 08:10 PM Don't ya think your **** at boxing then doing it for a year at 20 and your still not good enough for a fight?
thats nice lol!
but to the guy (sterling) dw bout taking too long for a fight, i started at 12 and a half and had my first fight few days after i turned 13, so i only trained for about 5 months and it wasnt long enough, especially when my opponents had been training for more than a year before their first fight. so i didnt fight again for a year and came back and had an exhibition fight just after i turned 14 ,(not a great choice though, to all the younger guys (around my age) who havent fought yet, dont give heaps of weight away, exhibition or not, its stupid and could be dangerous)
but yeah i was sposed to be fighting this weekend but my trainer hasnt called me yet and he said he would if the kid they matched me with was gunna come down and fight, so yeah.....kind of annyoing but im only young (14) so it aint end of the world but my point is its probably a good thing to train for at least a year before you fight
DA1CATAS 05-22-2008, 09:00 PM yup.. training before you fight for a long time is always good.
lukeybg 05-23-2008, 10:27 AM **** the way you go on and off your training vids i thought you would have a better record than you have and be fighting at a higher level than your are!!
In terms of admiration yeah i do admire your training ethic and to me it does look like you have natural ability. I also admire that you and a lot of other fighters who post on here who are from the US seem to get a lot more one-on-one training, get the chance to spar and fight alot easier and have access to bigger and better gyms.
the only reason i asked those questions is the vids you post are quite personal for instance you say your a teacher!? and to be honest i never has you down as a teacher!!
Towelie 05-25-2008, 02:43 AM Next hes gonna ask for your adress, and phone number...lol
lukeybg 05-26-2008, 06:22 AM im pregnant with his child thats all
rowdy144 05-26-2008, 09:27 AM Although training a long time before your first fight will do you more good than harm, what if it is someone who had been training for over a year in something like muay thai, then decided to switch over to boxing, should this be taken into consideration when looking at when the person should be ready for their first fight?
