I haven't sparred someone in MT or boxing for a while, and I usually just keep my striking tools polished with the heavy bag at my gym, but of course I don't get the sparring interaction obviously.
Today, I was taking turns with some other dude who was about the same weight as me but 30 yo and eventually he asked if I wanted to do some drills so I said okay and went and did some drills with him which was lots of fun.
So we decided to spar for a bit after that and I was happy since my shins didn't hurt too much from the checks and I was landing an aweful lot of thigh kicks that his left leg was really red and swelling by the end, so I suggested we just we just box for the remainer since he was hobbling a little.
It was good, my boxing was pretty technical and I was doing great counter punching, I rocked his jaw hard pretty quick and he was making funny faces because he was dizzy. This dude seemed too scared to punch though and he admitted his boxing was pretty suck so I didn't want to push him. At the end though, I thought, yeah I'll go for a flurry and charged in feinted a left hook PERFECT he ducks his face down and I plant one gobstopper of a right uppercut into his nose which left him standing there staring at the ceiling and moaning. That was pretty scary, I thought I broke his ****ing nose and he was all dissoriented and his eyes were watering like hell.
hehe, we were sparring without head gear, shin pads, groin protectors or mouth guards :D I forgot how much I loved striking :)
