Turn your screens around lol.
!! Shawn 05-21-2008, 11:37 PM Well... your footwork was good :)
Bendigo 05-22-2008, 03:26 AM Make sure you use your full range--especially on your straight punches. Don't smother them.
Wrap those hands too, bud.

Turn your screens around lol.
give youself a little more room and sit down on your punches. you move your feet a little too much kinda like your tap dancing......
sterling 05-22-2008, 05:32 AM HA! i loved watching that now he cant actually critisize many people with his backyard boxing with the plastic gloves and bag.
Erm u did ok but u was open to straight shots because u didnt move ur head and u was very stiff.
You didnt snap any punches no speed, power etc. and u was on a very light bag so its surprising u cudnet bang the bag a bit more but overall was ok.
Ur body was open wide to, i saw alot of holes in ur defense and that isnt good when your trying to be defensive lol.
Get ur ass down to a gym.
WithAuthority 05-22-2008, 06:40 AM its sideways

Them gloves were £65! yes the bag was shit lol. The straight shot is easy to stop all you need to do is pary or stop block. I'll admit i need to work on my speed but you try been hit with on of them punches......and i can asure you that there powerful.
You punch like a bitch. :lol1:
PunchDrunk 05-22-2008, 07:00 AM You need to focus more on punching from your legs and hips (hip rotation and shifting of weight from one foot to the other), instead of just your arms. You have next to no power the way you're punching now...

Thanks 4 the info :D
mickeyb 05-22-2008, 07:27 AM i said it to you before Andy over messenger...
you need to show yourself hitting the bag with a little more space and fully extend those arms. At 80kg's+ the boys are usuallly 6ft+ so you need to make the most of your reach. You also will be able to show some power.
Also, more weight on your back foot - you're lunging in...and effectively putting your chin into their range. Another factor which will be solved by fully extending your punches and rotating your hips fully - you are over-commiting and leading yourself into danger.
Other than that, you look a lot better than some of the videos i've seen on here.

i'm under 75kg at them so am happy, i'll try n get a vid on a bag that has more room around it.
sterling 05-22-2008, 09:20 AM they were like arm punches tye fields style
P4PKING_2008 05-22-2008, 09:39 AM Your power looked below average for your weight, footwork was appauling at times and you were throwing arm punches. But better than sterlings.
kenny91 05-22-2008, 10:23 AM first of all thanks the the stiff neck :P lol
erm good footwork i must say and great guard to, ur punches are quite sharp; ur firsts are never away from ur guard too much when u punch.
but like Bendigo said... use ur full range a bit more dude.
good vid ;)

kenny91 05-22-2008, 10:25 AM oh on my last comment ... footwork WAS good ... but keep it consistent cos at times ur footwork was a bit off
